This was originally called Winthrop park, but Winthrop didn't have any kids, so no one contested the name change to honor Pastor McGolrick.

One of my favorite parks in NYC. Lots of benches. Not a lot of traffic nearby. Beautiful colonnade in the middle.

Beautiful, quiet, and much more stately and elegant than McCarren. Reminds me a lot of Tompkins Square Park, actually.

Make smoochy noises at the squirrels. They'll run over and stand on their hind legs, thinking you're gonna feed them. And you SHOULD feed them, or they'll stab you. In the FACE.
