- Their tropical forest is amazing. You can watch gorillas playing right in front of you, and there are birds and bats roaming around free. A small zoo, but so many diverse animals!
- Everything is great here! We have the best zoo around and it's fantastic! Tons of amazing animals and great staff and zoo keepers. Buy a membership, it's the best deal around!
- Kateri CampbellJuly 31, 2014The Franklin Park Zoo was very fun! The gorilla exhibit is definitely the best. The giraffes are funny. But the lion is always sleeping! Definitely visit the birds and butterflies. 8/10 stars for me.Upvoted 4 days ago
- Natasha MarieAugust 8, 2012An all time favorite! Great animals, nice food choices & a decent price for such a nice place. The newer playground is fantastic for the children. On your way past the giraffes, grab some dip-n-dots!
- Meg BermanNovember 10, 2018See lions, tigers, and red pandas. Oh my! Check out the Children's Zoo area where kids can run, play and explore along side some friendly favorite animals. Zoo is open year round.

- CarolAugust 27, 2020Went for the lantern festival! It was well worth the visit! Go at 9pm for better views of the lights. I wonder what the real zoo would’ve looked like had it not been for covid
- American MensaMarch 12, 2014Visit the Franklin Park Zoo for a terrific outdoor/animal fun combo. Look ahead for events or special activities (such as breakfast with the animals). Read more

- Jude AnselmeJuly 15, 2016The tropical forest, the golf course, cool shaded picnic areas, west indian carnival, reggae in the park
- Come around Halloween for the Jack-O-Lantern walk. A very cool experience.
- Best kangaroos in Boston! Go around the back to their hiding place by the Australian Pavilion.
- Andy O.August 19, 2015Love the Zoo but food prices are outrageous and the vending machines charged my card but gave me no product
- Jane SnowApril 25, 2016If u have a long drive & have 2 use the restroom, stop b4 u get here. Long line (1 register open despite line out of gate) + restrooms no where near entrance + long line at restroom = UNCOMFORTABLE.
- Naomi HassardJune 27, 2015New playground structures are the highlight of my day at the zoo. It can't be missed.
- NTJuly 14, 2012I went on a day where you don't have to pay. So, you might come across alot of ignorant people. Saddest part is that most of them are parents. Be aware that some people will smoke in front of kids.
- Daisy AleroOctober 21, 2012Bird world was a bit smelly and Gigi wasn't a friendly gorilla, but all in all it was a great trip.
- Brian LitofskyAugust 19, 2012The new playground is very impressive. I can see kids coming to the zoo just for it.
- The gorilla exhibit is the best exhibit in the zoo!
- If you come with kids, be prepared to spend more time at the new playground than watching animals.
- Stephen MacDonaldJuly 20, 2012Find the Kookaburra near the bird house; he is the coolest thing here!!
- the gorillas are creepy looking, especially if you stare at them... LOL. love the zoo.
- Virginia BettinelliMay 21, 2014Gorillas biggest attraction. The zoo needs to upgrade their Reptile/Bug Display.
- Dave ShigazjOctober 5, 2011Welcome to Animal Prison. Great if you've never been to a real zoo, or if you want to see lonely, sad animals.
- Lani VoivodFebruary 18, 2012Be careful of Gigi the gorilla - she doesn't like other women. She smacks the glass and scares ya half to death! It's pretty funny, actually...
- L CJuly 13, 2012not much animals.. spent too much time looking for the animals since they are hiding most of the time.
- Aniruddha MandkeJune 17, 2017My 2 yr old daughter was afraid of all the animals. I will not recommend this place to 2 yr olds.
- Jim WilliamsNovember 20, 2011Stay away from the giddy-up grill. I'd rather eat the poop the gorillas fling at each other!
- Gloria CarusoMay 19, 2010Went to the Zoo last week. Gorilla's were fun, but the camels and flamingos looked sick
