- ClaudioApril 20, 2015The pizza definitely is the best of Boston! The service is so friendly and the food is amazing; had the Mac n cheese and it was delicious 😋
- Jenny MackintoshApril 8, 2013Charred, chewy crust and some classic and unusual topping combos await you here. Try the Alsatian (bacon, onions, gruyere and garlic), and save some room for their ice cream if you can.
- Claus SixtSeptember 12, 2016Very good pizza and an amazing service. Our salad was a bit too salty, but the salat wasn't charged!!! Moreover we got extra basilic for our pizza. Best service, best pizza.
- EaterJanuary 12, 2012A regular on Boston pizza A-lists, Picco boasts some of the best value in the South End. Eat the pizza, salad, and/or in-house ice cream and you'll desire no better. [Eater 38 Member]
- Rory ParnessJuly 15, 2022They actually ask you if you want your crust charred. Huh? Is there another way?? Pepperoni had great balance of sauce (just enough spice) and cheese
- Chris DignesDecember 24, 2014Honestly, the gingerbread is the best I've ever had. Fully expected a hard toast fit to build a house with, got the perfect blend of crust and borderline brownie with just enough ginger
- Randy GoldbergFebruary 19, 2017The pizza is awesome. If you love fired pizza and I do this is a must go. The fresh mozzarella was perfectly melted and the crust was crispy :-)
- Serious EatsMarch 7, 2014The pizzas are cooked well done at this adorable South End spot. Try the grilled cheese sandwich with crucolo and mornay, too.
- Louisa RigaliJuly 20, 2015The Alsatian pizza was unbelievable, and I also had an arugula salad, which was a perfect starter. The malt chip ice cream was unique and delicious!
- Emily ChalkoSeptember 19, 2016While the pizza is amazing and the crust perfectly charred, the homemade ice cream and desserts are not to be missed. Good value and atmosphere.
- Vernon CheungMay 9, 2011i had a 1/2 Alsatian 1/2 salami and cherry pepper, both of which were amazing. the latter was a special though, so idk if you'll get a chance to try it. also, the dark chocolate ice cream is AMAZING
- Gifted BostonSeptember 6, 2011This is my go to in the South End. Feels upscale without the upscale price. Customer service is always fantastic & their pizza is one word-yum. Save room for (my fave-black raspberry) ice cream!
- UntappdAugust 20, 2011A nicely kept secret in the South End. Killer pizza, amazing ice cream and a solid beer list (8 taps and a good bottle list) makes this place a great stop for a craft beer enthusiast.
- Tany MonteiroMarch 20, 2011Best pizza I ever ate. Such a beautiful place with delicious food for a reasonable price. Can you ask for more? I had a wonderful time having lunch there and if you can, don't think twice about it!
- Kristin BedardJanuary 19, 2013Love this place! Great for a business lunch, or lunch/dinner with friends. Shared three apps with a friend for lunch and they were delicious.
- The bar & wait staff is second to none. Amazing rotation of beers and not one bad item on the menu. Enchilada might be best in Boston
- Barry WiebeJuly 23, 2018The pizza really is amazing. And the carnitas taco was really good too. The bartender was great - quick and friendly.
- Elizabeth NagarajahMarch 20, 2017I love love their pizza. I tell all my friends about it. Order the margarita pizza with caramelized spinach
- Marybeth CelorierAugust 20, 2013It was outstanding! I will be back. Alsatian pizza and Pepperoni pizza were equally terrific. Must have the ice cream treats!
- BriannaMay 26, 2016The Mushroom & Spring Onion pizza was incredible 😍😋 The best pizza I've had in Boston by far
- EpicuriousAugust 3, 2014The pies come out of a Wood Stone gas-fired oven, and they're left in until they blister and char just the right amount. Read more
- Andrew PucciDecember 17, 2017You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Even the beer list has some really interesting options!
- GourmetLiveOctober 18, 2010Stop in for a cone to go, but it’s Picco’s plated and alcohol-laced ice cream offerings that shine. For the full experience, snag a seat at The soda fountain/bar and order the Toasted Ginger.
- The straight-up Margherita is fantastic -- my favorite pizza in Boston. Picco also has a tendency to have great beers on draft (e.g., Dogfish 90 min IPA is on tap now). Also... homemade ice cream.
- Tom UytterhoevenJuly 31, 2015You better reserve a spot here well ahead.. walking in usually means about a hour wait when you didn't reserve a spot :)
- Jimmy ChaoJuly 17, 2014Can't go wrong with the fig, bacon and gorgonzola. But you can do half/half if you can't decide on one.
- Barry WiebeJuly 23, 2018Make a reservation. Front of house doesn’t know what they’re doing: told it would be an hour so we ate at the bar... and watched 2, 2, and 4 tops sit empty.
- Trent RipperAugust 22, 2013Spaghetti was great. Serving was just the right size. Also had a cider. Delicious meal and served by a lovely waiter.
- Ty AchillesSeptember 10, 2010The calzones look amazing, but I ordered the linguine with meatballs. The sauce is really good and has a lot of zest, but the meatballs were so so. You can't go wrong with their home-made ice cream!
- Best restaurant in Boston for the price. Amazing Caesar, great mac&cheese, even better ice cream!
- Kleber PintoSeptember 25, 2017Great environment, friendly service and awesome pizza! Strongly recommended!
- Sofia UzOctober 7, 2016Original seasonal pizzas, safe space for some ice cream!!! You'll be very happy you did
- M. G. StellaAugust 7, 2013Ryan was a great server. He kindly suggested the broccoli rabe and sausage pizza and it was fantastic! Thanks
- I swear the margarita pizza with extra cheese, roasted peppers and caramelized onions is one of the best in Boston, so get that.
- Mishy KApril 5, 2014Try a pizza with White anchovies and roasted red peppers. Don't forget their ice cream. So good!
- Get the red-pepper-arugula-goat-cheese-pizza, and PB chip ice cream for desert. Truly the most delicious things on the planet.
- Clinton N.June 17, 2013Try their Alsatian pizza! Their homemade honey ice cream is also killer. Definitely make room for dessert.
- CollegeFashionistaJanuary 14, 2014Picco has a simple menu but the brick-oven crust on the Margherita pizza is absolutely delicious!
- Jeremy KrantzOctober 10, 2014If you cannot pick between two of their pizzas, get one that's half and half. I suggest the Alsatian one, it's great!
- Adriana VasiniSeptember 4, 2016Very Good Pizza!! Nicely charred ! Try Margherita Pizza with Arugula on top!👍🏻
- Taylor AldredgeAugust 22, 2012This has to be some of the best pizza I've had in Boston and throughout my entire quarter century of life.
- Sushama K SOctober 18, 2014We had Brussels pizza n pumpkin ravioli and both were very good! Icecream are yummmmmm
- Their raviolis are surprisingly yummy for a pizza place, definitely recommended!
- What's good? Everything! But I have a soft spot for the Alsatian, and whatever the strongest beer on the rotating menu happens to be.
