- Sanaz LimoueeJune 20, 2015A gem in a great location, loved the outdoor garden (3rd floor) reminded me of a mini High Line. Pop around the corner to Cafe Claude for authentic French cuisine.
- Stefani PatruskyJanuary 23, 2018It is stylish and friendly. It retains old San Francisco early 20th century charm with midcentury modern furnishings. Room has great use of small space and the person who decorated has great taste...
- Matt FerrariSeptember 10, 2016Beautiful downtown San Francisco hotel. Great location, friendly staff. Rooms are clean and has a 3rd floor small walking track. Wine hour at 5:30!
- Martin AssmannOctober 11, 2014Need a tip for dinner? Go one block north to Bush street and turn right. Then, directly to the left is a small hidden alley (Belden Pl) with a couple of good restaurants. Such a nice place!
- Steven ZimmermanDecember 3, 2013refreshingly surprised! nice, in town, close to shopping. quaint, with staff that cared. enjoyed our stay, would return without hesitation. Steve Z
- Mark J PJune 20, 2012Lovely boutique hotel for a three night stay in SF. Free wi-fi, super friendly staff, clean & tidy hotel. A somewhat small room (but reasonably inexpensive). Room a little noisy but this is the city!
- Visit the rooftop outdoor garden terrace and walking track to relax. It's the only hotel in San Francisco that offers a secret garden.
- Inna AndreevnaMay 8, 2017Clean and nice hotel in the city center, close to Chinatown and Union Square. Perfect for a 3 night stay in SF!
- Jon BillsJanuary 6, 2016Rooms can be dark and dingy. You can only use wifi on 3 devices per day so watch out with your phones and laptops!
- Good hotel, but $25 resort fee is a bit of a kick to the wallet, but still often cheaper than other hotels. Nespresso, 2x waters, reasonably well appointed rooms.
- RexSeptember 6, 2017Nice boutique in a great location. Rooms are decently sized. Decor is an awkward mix of modern and traditional
- Service rocks. I stayed for 6 days and got outstanding attention. Kuddos for these guys, next time in SF I know what hotel I'm staying at.
- Mark SlobbeAugust 17, 2018Lobby, warm welcome, complimentary wine, great location, nice rooms, decent size and affordable.
- Friendly staff, efficient service and reasonable room rates. Centrally located- financial district, Union Square, Westfield, BART
- Sara Boinkin'March 27, 2012Terrific location- close to Chinatown, BART, Moscone Convention, & public transport routes. Complimentary wine for guests each evening. Small rooms & tiny fitness center leaves some to be desired.
- Suzanne LJuly 22, 2012Room noisy, even on seventh floor, but that's because the location is so, so central - just a couple of blocks from Union Square and China Town. Terrace is lovely.
- Our Year AwayAugust 29, 2011Nice room, good staff, great location. We never made it but apparently free beer and wine is served up every evening in the lobby area.
- Friendly and efficient staff! Location is awesome--next to BART station, a few blocks away from Union Square and shops.
- Great hotel with an incredible team of staff. Ask for Zach if you want some cool recommendations.
- Binta BrownAugust 15, 2013conflicted; clean room, nice space. but no restaurant and felt hotel was too expensive to not have complimentary water. also think in absence of restaurant honor bar should have been discounted.
- Philip HubertusApril 5, 2012Take the elevator to 3rd. Make a left and exit through the first door on your left onto the sun deck.
- Mathew Gerald GibsonAugust 28, 2011Great hotel, free wifi, 42 in flat screen.... Only down side, bathroom is dated
- Christopher PiloSeptember 5, 2011The outdoor garden terrace is a nice place to propose to your beloved!
- Jena NashFebruary 23, 2013Call me crazy, but on the 6th floor I feel like Tom Hanks when he gets his first hotel room in NYC.
- Check out Midi Restaurant and Bar at the hotel. Great place for Happy Hour and amazing drinks. Read more
- Our Year AwayAugust 29, 2011If you are with a car but don't need it then try the garage @ 150 Turk street. They only charge $15 night inc tax. The hotel charge around $40. Dodgy area but garage seems secure.
- tadSeptember 25, 2010Flat screen "tube" tvs. No lcd or plasma but really go outside and enjoy the city
- Great location. Their restaurant Midi, is showing March Madness on the giant screen TV!
- What an amazing location! So close to everything. The staff is super friendly!
http://insidescoopsf.sfgate.com/blog/2012/02/08/master-sushi-chef-sachio-kojima-resurfaces-at-hecho/ - No breakfast, no concierge... yet another case of an overpriced "boutique" hotel in the US where basic standards aren't met.
- Check out the new restaurant--HECHO! It's Joseph Manzare's sushi and tequila restaurant!
