- Lauren TolbertMay 9, 2018Very Spacious airport. Check in and security are a breeze. Bag claim on ground floor. Rental Cars are in a separate part of a terminal, and has a golf car to take you there if you can't make the walk.Upvoted 5 days ago
- Ollie MartinMay 11, 2013James Bond arrives here from the fictitious island of "San Monique" and is picked up by one of Kananga's henchmen along with Solitaire in Live and Let Die (1973).Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Patrick ClarkFebruary 21, 2014If more than two people, and going downtown, taxis are cheaper than the shuttles. Cabs are flat $33 each way (for 1 or 2 people or $14 pp if 3 or more). Shuttle $38 pp and need to pay in advance.Upvoted 6 days ago
- Chris IoannouNovember 14, 2017A medium size airport with few shops and facilities. It is amazing though that a small jazz band is playing live close to the entrance.Upvoted 4 days ago
- Charles EdgeJanuary 10, 2012Redefining "crappy airport!" but grab some crawfish while you're here!Upvoted Feb 16
- Erik RowleyFebruary 1, 2015Not the greatest airport in the world, but with so much to do and see in NOLA who cares, so long as there's water to hydrate from Bourbon street. The Jazz band greeting was a cool perk =)
- Jim BaileyMarch 1, 2016Small but clean older airport with everything you would need. Rental Car is a little walk but they have carts available if you need help.Upvoted Feb 20
- Newly remodeled, better to navigate through and new Shuttle Service available to New Orleans hotels and destinations for Flat Rate of $24 and $44 Roundtrip and it runs every 30min.
- The new terminal looks great but they messed up getting a rental car. Add a good 30 minutes to get to and from terminal. Huge pain and fail NOLA.
- Be here early... not because of security checkpoint. It's actually been on of the smoothest operating I've been in. No, you want to make sure you've got plenty of time for drinks and Lucky Dogs
- The renovations at Louis Armstrong Airport look really great but that doesn't change the fact that we all die alone.
- Meaghan BrophyOctober 31, 2021Take a taxi instead of Uber if heading into the French Quarter. Taxis are a flat rate- $36 for up to 2 people. If more than 2, it’s $15 per person. Ubers we’re literally over $80 one way.
- Emily WoodMarch 3, 2012The airport shuttle is an affordable way to get to downtown and the FQ. Sometimes the driver will give an informal narrated tour on the way into town!
- Kimmie OhhJune 5, 2022Some food options are Shake Shack (burgers), Café du Monde (coffee, beignets) Leah’s Kitchen (fried chicken), Dook’s (burgers), Angelo Brocato (gelato & pastries), MoPho (creole/Vietnamese fusion).
- Mike BassMay 27, 2013Concourse C includes a Smoothie King, Lucky Dog stand, PJ's coffee (with pizza) and a Copeland's Gourmet Kitchen (sandwiches, Cajun food), plus Atrium Lounge bar.
- Vincent ChesneyFebruary 19, 2023Plenty of famous New Orleans restaurants have a space so you can get that one last taste of the Crescent City…or take it home with you!
- Occasionally the parking completely fills up. It happened to us once and we had to leave our car at a tire shop and pay them to watch it. Be prepared.
- Elton PintoSeptember 5, 2017If you have more than two people in your group, uber is likely cheaper. For 1-2 people it's only $36 to downtown but for more its $15 per person! Uber X or Uber XL cheaper.
- Rental car facility has moved! If you have lots of luggage, get a cart. It's a hike!
- This airport is small enough that if you have enough time, you can walk around without worrying about rushing. The best drinks are at Bar Sazerac at Concourse B.
- Looking for breakfast? Go to Legends for a egg and cheese Po' boy - the sausage is spicy! Legends is by concourse D *before* you go through security.
- Beware. The new rental car facility is about a mile away from the ticketing counters and baggage claim. Bring your walking shoes.
- Katy SouzaJune 28, 2018Free wi-fi, few options of food and drink, however is small. So it’s possible to do quickly the checking and get the flight
- I usually only park at the airport long term lot, but decided to try Park & Fly. Not only was it $5 per day less, coupled with an AAA discount, I saved about $30 on my entire trip. I will still park
- John HaberlandJune 10, 2013If you're flying out of New Orleans from Concourse B, note the only real place to get a drink is Zatarain's Kitchen and there's usually a line to get in. Best to find something outside of security.
- Patricia NguyenJune 2, 2013Lobby of terminal d has some nice lounge chairs if you want to kick back and take a nap. It's before security
- There's a 'tavern' on D and some cheesecake scoop place at the very end that has some pretty fresh/healthier options to couple with the bar smack in the center of the pod :)
- Clif CameronDecember 9, 2019If you rent a car be ready for a 20 minute drive all the way around the airport. Crazy.
- If you’re riding the shuttle from the rental place get here early.
- DoubleDeuceSeptember 7, 2018A well-organized and efficient airport. But no one "toots their own horn" like you might think, based on the name.
- Ticketing is on the top floor so be ready to have a walk if you arrive on a parking bus.
- Taiyyib ChoudhryDecember 7, 2018Small enough airport for quick entry and exit. Rental car building is conveniently joined a walking distance away from the terminal. TSA-pre lane is hidden with minimal signage so you might miss it.
- Minimal amount of food options past security, don't even get me started on the lack of healthy options. I'm surprised the planes are able to take off after passengers load up on Popeyes.
- Majed AlashariApril 26, 2020Modern airport with easy directions inside. Taxi line is long so be prepare for it.
- David EldridgeMay 19, 2014Swing by Customer Relations outside of Concourse C (next to statue of Louie A.) for a free luggage tag. It's a pretty nice one.
- The security lines move well and it is a busy and congested walk to the gates. A bit further than old airport but plenty of locations to work, eat, and drink.
- If you have a morning flight, get the breakfast burrito at LP Bistro. Overstuffed yet equal parts breakfast and lunch in one.
- Erika TaitMarch 14, 2022Only Restaraunt open after 6m on the C Concourse is the Old College Inn. Every place else that sells@food closes by 6pm (or earlier).
- ᴡ GonzalezJune 26, 2016The airport needs more food options. For example, I am a vegetarian, and I went restaurant by restaurant and could not eat anything but Nachos. Few shopping options too.
- Racky RossJuly 25, 2015Wifi is definitely better than any New York airport. Love the laid back atmosphere, and the lack of screaming children and annoying travelers.
- The Delta terminal is by far the most updated and clean. If you smell hotdogs in any of the terminals it's Luckydog don't get one if you are going to sit next to someone for 3 hours on a plane!
- Brian KingFebruary 2, 2013Dooky Chase's (outside security) might be the best airport restaurant I've ever had. Great cajun dishes at non-airport prices. Don't miss it!
- Gabriel HayesSeptember 28, 2015In Concourse D, Wow Cafe is a good place to pass a long layover. Sit at the bar, have a bloody mary and watch sports.
- If you want Dunkin Donuts it's before security in the terminal for Southwest. If you are on united or delta you have to walk to your right. More shops and food that way anyway.
- Dana Simone StovallJune 4, 2022Leah’s restaurant is very good! Malibu VooDoo Drink and the shrimp po boy…excellent! Get Alan the waiter.
- Spar TecAugust 9, 2013If you're renting a car, be prepared for a HIKE to the rental car center. There is no a rental car shuttle nor tram. Closer to terminal D; much further away from terminal A/B (Southwest @ AirTran).
- Kevin MacMarch 20, 2013Dooky Chase restaurant is new in airport and delicious. West End Beignets right next door too!
- If you fly american on a Friday afternoon, there are only 3 real options for places to eat, and the lines can get pretty long so plan accordingly!
