- Erik BrownJune 8, 2013Not much to say that the other tips haven't said already! Free books outside, $2-and-under as well as $5-and-under second at the front of the store, and then just walls of amazing books to browse!
- Salma CalitoMarch 12, 2018I've been coming here for years, back when they were at their old location next to Odyssey video (*ba dum tss* get it? The Illiad and The Odyssey?) And the environment and sense of wonder are the same
- Katherine M.July 22, 2015Best-stocked bookstore I've been to in LA, with the possible exception of Book Soup. Weak on city planning, architecture, design, women's studies; very strong on literature. There's a bookstore cat.
- Best prices in town (along with The Last Bookstore), selection specializes in literature and the arts, high turnover rate, clean and organized, ample seating area to read,
- JordynMarch 20, 2017Wonderful, HUGE bookstore with books on every genre and topic imaginable. The booksellers are knowledgeable and helpful. (Bonus: there are adorable cats!)
- Harlan RaySeptember 11, 2015I was looking for the horror specific genre at the time, which they have plenty of. However this was a deep store that had probably thousands of great stuff.
- Jason CApril 25, 2017Impressive collection of graphic novels and about a billion books on the entertainment world (business and otherwise). Has that used bookstore smell.
- Alexia CardenasJanuary 31, 2019There's a huge variety of books here. Plus really friendly and lovely kitties roaming the store who may climb on you. Probably wear pants?
- Katherine M.October 9, 2014Best-stocked bookstore I've been to in LA, with the possible exception of Book Soup. Weak on city planning, architecture, design; very strong on literature. Employees are a joy.
- Buzz DæflyApril 4, 2011I love this place so much that I actually live here. Of course thats our little secret. If you could find it in your heart to drop cookies under the table by the back wall I would be ever so greatful.
- Ethne DennisJanuary 14, 2019been coming here my whole life, friendly knowledgable staff with sweet cats always around. great section of 1 snd 2 dollar books
- A treasure trove for lovers of books. Glide on the sliding ladder like Belle does in the Beast's library. A few hours at this NoHo gem is always worth the trip over the hill from West Hollywood. =)
- Erin CallahanSeptember 6, 2014Largest selection of used plays that I've ever seen. Very friendly and helpful staff. Could easily waste a whole afternoon here.
- Fantastic bookstore - knowledgeable & friendly staff, including award-winning horror writer Lisa Morton; well-organized; just about everything you could want in a used bookstore.
- They are planning yet another expansion in the coming months. Great neighborhood store w knowledgable staff. Use it!
- Amanda SawtellAugust 2, 2015All paperbacks half off cover price unless otherwise noted. Some are much cheaper!
- Tina BAugust 19, 2010Hands down the best used book store I have ever been to. Books are in excellent condition, and they have a great selection in Literature and Arts.
- Abed GheithJuly 12, 2011They have great sit and chill chairs for Dorothy and chilling. Might I suggest grabbing a comic, sit and pet their cat.
- POTG DesignAugust 10, 2011One of the best used bookstores I've been to in LA. Spend hours browsing. Books on almost every topic.
