- Best pizza! Love the space too. Good beer selection, and don't miss the lamb sausage, four onion and chorizo pies. Swiss chard salad is a nice starter. In general, you can't go wrong with anything.Upvoted 3 weeks ago

- Jeff S.April 5, 2022Great service, atmosphere & food. Our favorite dinner we had in LA! My Vegetable Sandwich with Avocado, Pickled Turnip, Bell Pepper, Sprouts, Fennel & Hummus was amazing & we both liked our pizza.
- Elyse EstradaOctober 27, 2016One of the best meals I've ever had! Kale salad, mushroom toast and squash agnolotti with brown butter sage sauce were outstanding. The pizzas were a little too thin and crispy but good for sharing.
- DannSeptember 17, 2016Great selection of beer and wine. Great ambient and service. I ordered the seasonal dish of grilled peaches with burrata and a burger. They get their food down to a fine art! Highly recommend!
- YanApril 12, 2017Rabbit sausage and duck confit are yummy. Turn up early for dinner around 5.30pm as it's hard to get a reservation- they start to serve dinner at 5.30pm
- Marie RicherDecember 12, 2016Everything here is fresh, delicious and the service is really friendly and attentive. Try the kabocha squash with mint and pomegranate 😛
- Justin OrdovezaNovember 9, 2014The gjelina take away is a great little take out bistro with wonderful crostini, pizzas. The freshly baked products are great and the staff is friendly. No seating except for an adjacent patio.
- Johnnie SkywalkingDecember 14, 2014All the vegetable plates are great, especially Okies but it's off season so out of menu in winter. For brunch, choose anything that comes with fried egg. The best fried egg I ever tasted.
- Jamie LynnDecember 17, 2016We got celery root parsnip soup, pork meatballs, mushroom truffle goat cheese pizza and quail. It was all good and more than enough for 2 of us, but the star of the show was butterscotch pot de crema
- Chefs FeedMay 6, 2016"Having breakfast on the patio next to the fire pit is cozy. Get the Moroccan baked eggs with merguez sausage, chili, tomato sauce, cilantro, and spiced yogurt."- Makani Gerardi Read more
- Gjelina is good. You dress up a little bit, get your good friends, get the couch table at the patio and enjoy a great night in which food will be complementary. Just be aware of the latter.
- Kate H.May 7, 2013Nice but not pretentious. The meats are excellent - try the fennel sausage and rabbit meatballs. "Hidden" back patio is perfect for enjoying mild Santa Monica evenings with friends and lots of wine.
- Steve PhillipsJune 24, 2020We got lucky and was able to get into this restaurant without a reservation. It is worth the hype! They put a different spin on the spaghetti, which was actually good. Get the corn as a side item.
- Edlin ChoiSeptember 26, 2012Delicious lamb burger & spinach salad. Really fresh oysters, get the Kumamoto if you've never had. Braised pork meatballs & Brussels sprouts looked amazing too. Sit out back. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more

- S LeeAugust 6, 2014If u don't have a res, prepare to wait 45 min but so worth it. Love: patio, cauliflower by far best veg dish, corn, eggplant, meatballs, octopus, pork chop, pork belly, butterscotch pot de creme!

- Jeremy CApril 18, 2015Hip, trendy take on a rustic bistro. Forget the poser crowd and come here for the food. Excellent pizzas, small plates and wine list. Try the mushroom pizza, lamb shoulder and pork meatballs.
- Skip the pasta, and skip the mushroom pizzas, which everyone seems to love but are actually rather flabby. For pizza, lamb sausage is the move. Also order: anything with burrata.

- Pizza is great here. In fact everything is really good. You can end up spending a lot for this very reason.
- Jason H.June 7, 2015Food is all excellent. Outside seating is very nice. They're sticklers for keeping menu as is so don't try to change a dish to your liking. That said, you'll end up liking what they serve.
