A bit of a throwback, Merriweather is a treat, especially when the weather is ideal. Under the roof is best. Plenty of food and drink vendors. It feels like a park turned into concert venue.
Ticket booth on the South entrance opens at 5p, so don't feel like you have to trek on the side of the (dangerous) gravel road to get to the North box office. Also, pregaming while in line is a MUST!
Without a doubt, "The Pit" is the best place to enjoy a show here. It's never too crowded and the acoustics are EPIC. Ticket price is fairly comparable as well.
Bring in 5$ footling subs to avoid the $15 chicken tenders. You can bring water too of any size, so I suggest bringing a gallon. Especially in 85 degree weather in October! It's great !
Lawn seating sucks, pay the extra $ for actual seats, unless u prefer ppl trampling all over ur shit & ass cracks in ur face while sitting down by the late comers. Move your MF'n ass out of my way!
