This salumeria was founded by Chris Cosentino in 2007. They serve both grab-and-go and sit-down customers beneath a backdrop of hanging butcher knifes. Go for the Porchetta di Testa if stopping by. Read more

Check out the ferry building with a salami cone from boccalone. You can create your own cone with your own selection of meats.

Awesome. These salted pig parts are definitely tasty. The platters (small or large, choice of 3 or 5 meats) make a wonderful to-go sampler for your next picnic!

Had the pleasure to try Boccalone and it was very delicious! Nice break from the Ferry Building Marketplace and the prices are very affordable! A must try!

The chefs rescued an old Portugese sausage making factory that had been grinding sausages and salamis since 1900 and made it their own. Order online or grab a "Sammy” at their Ferry Marketplace shop. Read more

If you've got some time - mixed salumi cone and a rustic roll from acme bread down the way. Then go outside and watch the sailboats go by (or people watch)!

Great Italian Sausage sandwich, but pricey for how small it is. If you're hungry, you'll want to pick up a side or other snack in the Marketplace to go along with it.

Pro tip: Skip the sandwiches. Bread is mediocre. Get a Salumi platter and get bread from Acme next door. Pure foodie heaven!

Gluten-free? Go over to Mariposa. They have Boccalone salami sandwiches, but with really good baguette-y gluten-free bread.

It frustrates me that, having ordered $42 worth of product, boccalone was unwilling to fill my "outside" water bottle, whether from the filter machine or the tap.

Get a meat cone, select some quality salumi. Buy the Nduja and get some bread next door at ACME. Find a sunny spot and bath in piggie bliss.
