- Sign up for the IKEA friends and family card. Free coffee and tea upstairs in the restaurant and an extra 30 minutes in Smaland for any of those potty trained youngsters with the card.
Almost all my house is full with IKEA furniture! Try food first, you will spend a couple of hours shopping between showroom and marketplace! Sometimes the products are sold out, check it first online.

Need help figuring out what you need in your home office area don't ask the girls in that department, they wont help or know how to use the software. They prefer to sit there & talk about people.
Judging by all the vehicles on a weekend, you'd think that this is a tourist destination. There are people from all over! For locals, its best to go during the week when its less crowded.

Huge mistake removing the self-service check outs. I used to be able to get tea lights and be in and out in 10 minutes. Now every line is 20 people deep.

Hot dogs are a great deal but they might make you a little sick. Don't forget the cheap pizza and ice cream in the bistro.- Get an extra 1/2 hr of free childcare by joining the Ikea Family membership!
Use the shortcuts in the Marketplace to avoid walking the whole bottom floor.
I went on Tuesday 6.30pm and the whole store was pretty much only for me! :)
If you're on a diet but want to eat in the caf, get a kids size portion of meatballs - it's about 320 calories.- Heads up. If your kids are going to Smaland, they need socks and to be potty trained. The store has vending machines for socks, but coworkers won't make change without a purchase.
- Need to get through the store quickly- follow the shortcuts on the map or skip the showroom and start at the marketplace if you already know what you want!
- Bring bags because they don't have free bags anymore. Reusable bags are available for purchase also. You will bag your own merchandise. Start upstairs and see what is in the showroom before shopping d

Doesn't have a good signal for phones, so check in before you step inside!
