The bridge that connects Rockland & Westchester. Can get congested especially during rush hour everyday including the weekends.
Jackie JakSeptember 16, 2012Love the drive on this bridge... The view isn't bad either, Southbound side is prettier, but you can see it better from the Northbound side.
Preferred way south from ri and ct. Lowered or modified vehicles the right lane is in the best shape
The new bridge looks beautiful and we are looking forward to traveling once it is ready.

If you have to cross going towards the city make sure you have an EZ Pass! Going away from the city is freeeeee!

AstoriawinedivaMarch 31, 2012It freaks me out to see the "Life is Worth Living" and "When it seems like there is no hope, there is help" signs on the bridge due to all the suicides on this bridge.
Avoid the Northbound side during rush hour on Fridays, especially in the summertime!

People..use your turn signals. It's not very hard to let someone know when you're going to switch lanes. It's common courtesy..if you can't move your arm less than 1ft to flick a switch...you're lazy.

Great Bridge look at all the sailboats but wait no! Pay attention to where your driving!
Buy a helicopter or donate money to science to discover the teleporting gene.

There is too much traffic on this Godforsaken bridge, but it beats the hell outta using the GWB as an alternative.

Jack PurdyOctober 4, 2013Don't jump. You'll die of old age waiting in traffic on the bridge, and that's slightly less awful than falling to your death.
Worse bridge in new York state. They need to get with the new project already. Also no walkway of any kind.
