In a world full of new technologies, the US Open draw board is deliberately old school. Watch how the draw is updated after matches!

In the earlier rounds, while you can catch the big name players at Arthur Ashe, if you want to watch truly great tennis up close and personal, head to Louis Armstrong or the smaller courts.

Allowed to bring some food and drinks in (no glass bottles), so pack something light versus paying $10+ for food. Suggest getting Arthur Ashe tix so have access to other stadiums and matches.Fun time!

Don't skip the smaller courts. Best tennis I saw all day was a mixed doubles match on court 5.

Check out the action at Louis Armstrong Stadium, it's usually less crowded, much smaller, and has many of the same top-name stars competing in early rounds.

The warning not to bring a bag sounds logical but if you are here for 12 hours you need supplies to survive and also save a fortune by bringing plastic bottle drinks and food well worth it!
