- Some of my favorite views of the city from the stairs looking South, looking North towards the bay at Pierce & Jackson, and looking SE through the park from the top of the park at Jackson & Scott.
- Dennis HsuJanuary 15, 2018Pac Heights neighborhood park with great views of the city and North Bay. Great spot for a picnic -- just grab some food from one of the many restaurants on Fillmore St or Mollie Stone's Grocery
- freesyayaJune 26, 2016Get your coffee or blueberry muffin in my case. And sit on the top. The view is great.
- Tip re: "loose dogs" posted by someone uneducated re: SF. This is one of SF's best dog parks; but if your dog isn't good w/voice control or tends to misbehave, probably best not the place to come.
- A SAugust 20, 2019Excellent park facility in Pacific Height. There is a kids playground area and also large grass area for dogs. Breathtaking view of SF. Two visits during our short trip to SF. The kids love it here.
- Bennett W WongJuly 17, 2020I love the large perimeter of this park. It’s such a great space to take walks or light jog.
- Dov DSeptember 20, 2021Awesome views, very nice playground hard to get into with a stroller from most entrances due to stairs
- Panoramic views of the city! Very cute neighborhood 🌳.
- Save me a seat on the bench by the steps on the North side looking down Pierce Street. It's one of my favorite places.
- Pacific UnionOctober 25, 2012Walk the dog, play tennis, sunbathe, stroll. Don't miss the stunning views, which are particular lovely in the evening.
- Possibly my favorite park in the city. Love the swings at night.
- Rachel HensleyApril 25, 2011Second only to the GG playground! One of the best parks and views in the city! Great for kids of all ages! And easy parking. Enjoy!!
- Mark KupasrimonkolMarch 18, 2015This place is where those outdoor stock photos of delightfully well-dressed families and their dog come from.
- Amazing views of SF from this gem of a park. Also, a cool place to do a stairs workout.
- The park ranger does a terrible job of letting you know that he sprayed roundup poison on the long grass. Don't let your dog eat it.
- One of my favorite views in the city. Great place to bring dogs!
- Marc Jacobs IntlApril 20, 2011Alta Plaza park is only a few blocks from the MbMJ store and has an amazing view of the bay and the city!
- Brendan ConronFebruary 23, 2014Walk around the edges and then mount the hill, you just can't beat that view.
- On a sunny day head for the south side of Alta Plaza Park and hunker down at the top of the Pierce Street steps - less wind and great view.
- Stacey RutherfordJanuary 3, 2012Great park for dogs and all. Very friendly, very sunny and lots of activity!
- Great place for your dog to run, play and relieve themselves.
- Look for the dog names carved in the cement in the dog area!
- See the chips in the southside stairs? That's where Ryan O'Neal and Barbra Streisand drove their Bug in "What's Up, Doc?"
