ℳ𝒶𝓎♍February 15, 2016Coles has wi-fi, decent offerings as far as equipment goes & basic amenities. Yes, it has bunch of issues but if you're looking for an Equinox experience go for it. CompassJuly 23, 2013As the main athletic facility of NYU, Coles houses giant swimming pools, courts, fitness rooms, and a rock climbing wall. Neighbors in the area can gain access as a “Community Member.”

Swimming here is great. Be aware of the speed designations for each lane. Stop at the ends to let faster swimmers pass and switch lanes if necessary.
The pool here is only 4 feet deep. Although sometimes you can use the smaller diving pool when nobody is training there. Go to Coles, they have 13 feet deep pool!
Guest passes are $10, you need a valid photo ID, cash only, and must be exact change. Yes, we know it's archaic.
The third shower stall in the Women FH locker room has the BEST water pressure !

Larger than Palladium though older. Better for weightlifters, not as good for cardio. Saunas in the locker rooms
The weight room area would be much better if there were more adjustable benches and if the dumbbells went up to 120lbs. Currently there is only one adjustable bench for the entire gym!
Cardio room is on the second floor and weight machines are on the first floor.

Tip the monitors when signing in a guest or having a question answered. They deserve it.
No a/c in the weight room. Gets real hot with just fans.

- Sign up for the recreation classes, they're pretty good.
Don't come anytime around 5-7 if you don't want to fight for a machine or pool time.- Try not to drown too far from me. I don't want to do any extra work.
Security guards are useless and lazy- this goes for not all but most of them
All the machines have input for tv but no cable... What gives?
were there this many swimmers here last semester?? I don't remember having to share a lane so often...
It's beastly hot in all save the cardio room. NYU saving on the AC.
