    Vancouver's first downtown core and is named after "Gassy" Jack Deighton, a Yorkshire seaman, steamboat captain and barkeep who arrived in 1867 to open the area's first saloon.

    Some of the city's best coffee shops are in the area: pop into Coffeebar, Milano, Timbertrain or Revolver for a real macchiato and great people watching. Skip the other ones.

    So many cute shops! Ilove the history of Gastown,it's seriously so adorable. I would say It has a little bit of everythig..Nice restaurants,bars,art galleries.You can just walk around and enjoy it.

    Spending the day and enjoying the most historic and distinctive neighbourhoods in Vancouver was an interesting and unique experience! A must-go-to place for tourists especially!
