Not your typical tourist spot, but if you're not the typical tourist you'll probably love it here for it's unique shops and character.

It is like a "Rua Augusta" here. I recommend you to go to the "Land of the Sun" and talk to Paul. He is incredible and he can tell you stories about Hendrix and Joplin and a lot of the 60's scene here

A very cool collection of shops, bars, and restaurants. However, be prepared to be bombarded by bums, people from green peace, and people trying to save planned parenthood. Really annoying...

Its like Disneyland, but instead of getting a picture with Mickey and buy a pair of mouse-ears, you get to know faux-hippies and buy tie dyed tshirts. Oh, consummerism at its best.

I've seen several things on the History channel about this place and thought it'd be cool to check out. It was actually pretty awesome-like an advanced Little 5 Points. Wish I could spend a day there!

Dirty hippies and street kids. Awesome consignment shops. Sort of smelly. If you get ice cream I recommend a bowl not a cone. That stuff melts fast.

Grab some ice cream on the corner at the Ben and Jerry's. Eat it while you walk up the hill to see the former Grateful Dead house.
