If you're on the Brooklyn Bridge and you see traffic on the part of the expressway under the Pineapple Walk, head down to the water and take Furman St to Atlantic to save yourself a couple minutes.

You can never fly onto the bqe in any direction they have been fixing this for like 50 years ;! And it's never been finished !

Robert Moses was kind of an enormously self-important, callous douchebag. However this is really the only way to travel N-S in Brooklyn quickly once the G craps out... Every night.

Watch out for cops at the greenpoint ave and bqe split ..they sit on the emergency lane and give you a ticket...

Don't be fooled by the name - it's not an "express" way. The "Brooklyn/Queens" part is accurate though. Not sure what the "I 278" means.
