- Jeku ArceFebruary 10, 2015Grab a venison pie and a couple pints by the bar. Punk IPA is quiet hoppy. Great ambiance with no football noise in sight. Great for groups.
- Cheen The CuriousMarch 24, 2015Charming English pub next to a theatre, complete with etched glass work on wooden panels to give an old world feel. Ask staff to recommend ale on taps
- Naki NakMarch 17, 2013Beautiful pub, food is standard pub food, fat chips are good, steak in the steak and ale pie not the best quality, friends who had the chicken pie appreciated them more than the steak and ale pie.
- Nice pub with some good beer and scotch. Surprisingly good even if close to Leicester Square, no loud music, no sports. Recommended.
- Ayse GuvencerAugust 4, 2011great location and clientele...looks crowded from outside, but it does have tables out in the back! Cool place to grab a pint if anything!

- Rich WhiteleyOctober 28, 2010Nice pub. Timothy Tailor Landlord sits as part of a good ale selection. Friendly and always speedy service, even when quite busy.
- Sarah MannAugust 15, 2011Good beer (currently enjoying Mad Goose) good music and very shiny. Read the Beer Menu!

- Önder BingölAugust 16, 2014Rather crowded, if you're looking for a Victorian Age pub try Princess Louise at Holborn.
- Jenny StirlingDecember 2, 2012Busy but really big pub and reminds me of a good London knees up pub will be going again!
- LondonistOctober 28, 2010Don't be put off if it looks busy. This one goes back a long way. And despite the appearances, it's not a Sam Smith's pub.
- Phil WrightMarch 31, 2012This could be a nice pub. But the over zealous bouncer spoils a nice atmosphere
- Kirsti ProMarch 25, 2010A lovely pub in theatreland. I was there for a glass after a long time and it lived up to the memory.
- Juliet Du VivierDecember 28, 2012You know that scene in Trainspotting where it says "the shittest toilet in Edinburgh". Worse than that.
- Nick LOctober 26, 2010the chips were piping hot and tasty but the toasted sandwiches were cold which is a bit of a shame
- Great ale, unspoilt victoriana, no sports colours. Enough said.
