Guests actively encouraged to share dishes as they're ready from the kitchen. If you come in group, do try their feasting menu, such as Whole Roast Suckling Pig, you will need to pre-order it.

Amazing service, food and wine. Loved the smoked eel, smoked cods roe, beef mince on duck fat toast, and crispy pigs cheek! Filling, large portions so it’s best to share.

Who would have thought the British grab can be tasty?! It helps when it's washed down with the French wine...

Get the bone marrow appetiser!! All of the mains are delicious because they use seasonal ingredients. Also don't skip dessert!! The nectarine and almond tart was the best I've ever had

Daily menu that changes between lunch and dinner. Recommend getting lots of small plates to share. 6 or 7 small plates, 2 desserts and wine came to £115 with (good) service. V full and satisfied!

A paradise for the adventurous eater! Starters are a good amount of food--get 2 per person (3 if you're really hungry) so you can try a little bit of everything (there's much much variety!)

Get the bread. And the wine.In all seriousness, St. John Bread and Wine excels at both. The lentils were exquisite, the lamb was tender and juicy, and the ginger cake was divine.

One of the best restaurants in London. Excels at traditional British food. Lovely wine selection all pairs very nicely with the dishes. I love the roasted marrow here.

I’d forgotten just how brilliant this place was. Unrivalled in delicious simplicity. The fried braun and cress is excellent. Pickled anchovies also. Eve’s pudding. Yum.

Order a bunch of small plates to share. A few of my favorites were the smoked cod roe, salted beef, mussels, pastrami. Definitely save room for Madeleines.

Next time someone you like talks badly of the british cuisine, take them here to show them the error of their ways :). It's not cheap, though: Most of the tapas-style dish are around 6 to 16 pounds.

Hmm... I can see the appeal if you're moneyed, but £7 for a small plate of raw cauliflower and beans in mayo and mustard is way over my budget, I'm afraid. Bread is delicious though.
