- Mela MelFebruary 19, 2015My fav airport. Easy to reach, fast check in and security process, lots of spots were to chill out and plug your phone/computer. Negative: food and drinks are too expensive - a bottle of water £3!!!Upvoted Feb 26
- NoMade InMongoliaJune 18, 2015Convenient and cute airport❤️ took 15 min get through check-in and security check. Comfy waiting area. No announcements, makes people really calm. Wayy better than Heathrow. 😋Upvoted 1 week ago
- London's best airport - easy and quick to get to it and get through it. Be careful if checking in with BA during peak times. Limited desks can create long queues.Upvoted 21 hours ago
- My favourite London Airport. Late baggage drop and check it. Good DLR connection to the city centre & Free WiFi that actually works very well.

- Abdullah AljumaAugust 17, 2015Its really small, nice and convenient airport with free WiFi in East London. What else do you need to know.
- Small airport but very efficient. Immigration, security is very effective and efficient. Recommended airport for short distance travels. Overall experience = level super!
- Yv ZoApril 30, 2017My new favorite airport it looks like a big restaurant with food stands everywhere, you can even eat and drink in front of the departure gate
- Fukejř🧗 Mooza🏊December 10, 2017Woow, this is simply great airport in the terms of London others, fast, small, lovely:-)
- Take the DLR and remember to touch out when you exit. The machine is near Costa coffee. Otherwise you will be charge three times for your journey
- The new area (by gates 2/3 and beyond) has way more seating and quieter spots than the main area. Also, the Truman Brewery place by gate 3 does the best coffee in the airport.
- Great no frills airport. Speedy security, nice lounge with restaurant, some coffee shops and a couple of shops for gadgets and snacks/papers. All gates are nearby and the entire team are helpful.
- Andy BurgessDecember 11, 2014Much better than larger airports - quicker to get through security, although a tad understaffed at times. Very useful for those living in Central London and flying to Europe.
- This airport saves ages of you are used to fly by Heathrow. My favourite. Free Wifi and polite security people, Schiphol you can take lessons from here!
- Head to any of the gates for some peace, lots of charging and cup holders comfy seats.
- The fastest way in/out of London. Mind you though during rush hour it can be quite busy, but never too full since the lanes are generally Embraer or smaller there are 100 passengers per flight circa
- S FordNovember 21, 2023Great airport, quick to check in and pass through security. Seating on air side can sometimes be hard to find because many people waiting. Definately my preferred London airport to fly from.
- Love this airport. Fast security. Be carefukl - No announcements in hallways; Only lounge area!
- Sack off the main bar and go towards the gates. You'll find Brick Lane Brews, 4 taps and several bar seats with good toasted crossaint etc. And a view of the planes!
- Wine bar here offers some real gems including a beautiful Barolo and even a 93 Petrus! Prices are high of course starting at £12 for a glass of house wine. Try the flight of wine, 3 samples for £20
- Paul CampbellSeptember 25, 2014Such a classy airport. Small and efficient. Clean, friendly and easy. I'll always choose this airport for London if given the choice.
- Best airport to fly in/out of London. Small, but properly in the city. Security is super quick to get through.
- For a snack (sandwich, crisps) or drink (smoothie, soda, milk) head over to the Boots shop near gate 2. Quick, friendly and low cost.
- Enough shops to entertain yourself whilst waiting for your flight. The security is a bit too much though. A bodyscan should be enough, don't have to touch people in their panties too.Upvoted Jan 22
- Great location with direct transport into the centre of London in less than 30mins. Not much space airside due to increased routes since it owned. No lounges and sometimes hard to get a seat.
- MigguJanuary 4, 2015Great airport for those of us who work near or in the city . A bit crowded on Friday night with misty businessmen/women. Lots of USB plugs to charge your tablet/phone.
- If time to kill, head to the lounge straight as you come out of security. It's a minute walk to the gates and [at least my glass of wine] is 70% cheaper than the bar in the departure lounge
- XAir DhancerFebruary 17, 2016At the City cafe inside LCY. Always ask for the bacon to be grilled. ... otherwise you get this. On the whole relaxing environment.
- Milena NikolicJune 3, 2013By far the most pleasant airport experience of all London airports. Easily less than 10 mins between entering airport building and reaching the gate!
- I just love the ease and speed of getting in and out of this airport. From landing to exit 15 min! And within 30-45 min by DLR in heart of London.
- Very compact, no announcements, very fast, easy reach. No stress. My favourite London Airport for short business trips.
- Clever, much-appreciated touch: USB + UK + EU charging sockets at (most) seats. That's why I love flying from this airport whenever I can!
- Sam BrownFebruary 2, 2012Grab a seat at the bar by the windows at the back of The City restaurant. Easily the quietest place in this bustling little airport. Bonus: you can feel the roar as every plane takes off!
- JonDecember 11, 2014Best airport for access to London, 20 minutes from check in to boarding the plane the other week, will use over Gatwick or Stansted when prices allow in future
- Elias BizSeptember 11, 2016Small. But as I overheard a pilot going through: "what I like about this airport is you always see the same people". Love the closeness to London city, my favourite London airport.
- Chris R (thechristophe)January 27, 2020Nice airport, very easy to get to, but where are the vegan options?
- Karlijn MollMay 23, 2017Super quick ride by subway to the city center. Quick trough customs and small but efficient airport.
- A small and nice airport, you only need to turn up 30 min before the flight and security is fast! Try to avoid morning flights though as it's the busiest time
- Marco VoormolenMay 14, 2015Small airport just outside the city center. Very convenient too reach. Helpful staff when you happen to run late. Watch out coming to the airport too late early in the morning, can be very busy.
- Easy, cheap and fast to reach from central London, very efficient security check, free wifi, good food... if you have a change to fly on LCY you would be crazy not to.
- Small and efficient airport. Connect with DLR and jubilee line to central London. Free wifi and you don't have to walk far within the airport.
- Daniel MolnarJuly 10, 2019This is how to roll an airport. All Germans should learn efficiency here. Reasonable priced food and drinks after security. Tap water is hot in the toilets like in a bad club. Not enough toilets.
- Best airport for tourists. DLR access directly from the airport. In no time you are in the heart of London. If you stay in the Novotel Tower Hill, you can go by DLR almost to the front desk.
- What is not to love? Free wifi, quick checkin, no long walka to gates, nice food & drinks, clean toilets and free wifi! Love everything about this airport!
- Small, efficient airport that is easy to reach from Central London via DLR with flights to a lot of European destinations. No BA lounges except for the BA1 gate lounge.
- James RobertsonSeptember 25, 2014There is a boots once you get through security that does a meal deal for £3.79 even includes sushi 😀
- Best airport in London. The time taken to reach the airport from the centre is significantly lower than the other airports.
- Wilson Favre-DelerueJuly 24, 2018Yet another shabby, dirty, unpractical London airport. Particularly ridiculous are the critical lack of seating and ever-so unfriendly security staff.
- You can plug-in your appliance in one of the 2 power plugs located at the very corner of the waiting room, close to window near the stairs for fist floor 😉
- A wonderful airport to get directly into central London. Super small but super connected. It you work in tech and East London startup scene this is the place to fly into and depart
