The lunch buffet is wonderful; everything is freshly made. The lamb stew tender, eggplant, lentils, potatoes all flavorful. But the Doro Wat is ridiculous good!!!!!!.... The meat falls off the bone!

Its a small quiet place, you could easily miss it so look out for the sign board. Good value, good food. Had the doro wott, portions are large. Somewhat similar to Indian food actually - I loved it.

For a vegan meal, order 4 items from the vegetarian category (they're vegan); choose one as the "main" & it will be the largest portion with the other 3 as small portions. The food is fabulous!!!

It's not a fancy restaurant but the people are great and the food is unique and delicious. You'll find the beef & chicken cooked in delicious spices. Their Premium Lager was very good too.

Despite its somewhat noisy location, Aster's serves up delicious Ethiopian at remarkably affordable prices. We'd still eat here if Austin didn't so woefully lack Ethiopian options. [Eater 38 Member]

Beer tartar is best raw and spicy. Honey wine (by request only) is refreshing and wonderful.

Definitely delicious. Go during lunch for the cheap buffet. Lots of good options, especially if your new to Ethiopian. All their lentil dishes are wonderful.
