One of the best pubs in the area! Good music, ever changing guest beers, additional seating upstairs. Never too busy, great unpretentious crowd. Good little date spot too for a couple of drinks.

Shhh, don't tell anyone but the upstairs room is the only place in Shoreditch where you can always get a table on a Friday after 6pm. Very wooden, but rather pleasant.

One of the only pubs in Shoreditch that I actually like, although I haven't been to any new ones in the past two years so the area might have got a bit better at night

Try the Westmalle. Triple is 9.5%, killer. Double is darker, lighter and tastes much better. Either is a good choice.

They don't take Amex and, even in the earth year 2015, won't take card payments below £10. Which they tell you AFTER you order of course. Be careful.
