Bosphorous region is beautiful, boat tour for 2 hours, followed up with freshly caught fish for dinner. If you like Shisha Alibaba is top notch - even the owner sat with me and it was packed! Loved it!
Welcome to Istanbul! If you haven’t planned out your stay here yet, consider starting with The Hagia Sophia. Cathedral, mosque, and museum; one of the World’s Great Wonders!
Huge airport with everything and more! Hairdressers, shopping galore. Be sure to book assistance if you struggle to walk long distances. Walking to gates can take up to 20 minutes. Have nice flight!
Massive airportcrowded as hell. But here you will find the best lounge one might ask for. The Turkish Airlineslounge is the best Star Alliance lounge on Earth.
If you're taking the Metro, check out the discountmarket literally called DiscountMarket outside the entrance. They have cheap drinks and a deli counter where they make very affordablesandwiches.
Welcome to Istanbul, the meeting place of East and West! A ferry ride along the Bosphorus is a spectacular view point for watching the capital of empires.
Istanbul is famous for traditional Hammams. Visit the Cemberlita Hammam in the old town of Istanbul for example. It was built 400 years ago and renovated lately - but the historic flair still remains.
My recent experience was pleasant. Visa on arrival was quick. Fyi there is a cash machine that dispenses dollars by visa area. Good shopping & dining choices. Only complaint: no free WIFI?! What?!
Tip: there is a smoking place after passport control. Its on the terrance, close to the Kitchenette. There are some several places where you can find free wifi. The best connection to centre is metro.
Huge airport. There's a terrace on 2nd floor to smoke. Free wifi next to terrace, at Carluccios bar. Just enter any hotmail address to register, no need to enter private details
Always make sure u use the passport control for business class( if u travel business) & after u checkin. This is just on your left as you enter the airport😊. So fast and easy. lounge food the best!👍
Beautiful and vast, with easy access to metro makes this airport the perfect airport with kind staff. Moreover, people help you around with hospitality even though they might not understand English.
A very big airport with a quite big DutyFree area. Very crowded, expect delays and add more time for check-in and customs with long lines in passport control. It has the best lounge in the world.
I've been in dozen lounges across the world and I can admit Turkish Airlineslounge is best lounge I've ever stay: the spaces, variety of snacks, deserts, drinks and meals, baggage storage, kids zone
Best transit stop for travellers going to Europe or even North Africa (if you fly Turkish Airlines). Duty-free offers an excellent selection of souvenirs/tech gadgets and cosmetics.
When visiting Istanbul you should take a look at the Hagia Sophia and the former sultan’s palace Topkapi Sarayi. Both very impressive! Find more tips in our Travel Report Istanbul! Read more
Aah! Memories! I’ve been here a few years ago when I was student. I had a transit at the airport, while going back home. It’s an amazing airport! All the amenities are at your disposal.
The world's famous dream city #Istanbul is waiting for visitors..Here you will find out lots of history, delicious traditional Turkish meals, the wonderful Bosporus and warm, friendly Turkish people.
There are so many Turkish Airlinestaff and so many baggage drop-off self-service tills, yet none of them could explain how to get tags for 3 bags for 2 people, simply saying: "Line up there" for 1 h!
Scan your boarding pass for 2hr free wifi at starbucks (you can be sneaky and do it without a purchase). Additionally log-in in THY loungewifi network next to Starbucks. User: thy Pw: investinTurkey
Either get free wifi by withdrawing close to the international transfer desk or go upstairs and pay an excruciating $15 USD (1-day access but which you can share with as many people as you like :D)
Amazing huge airport, clean with metro outside, always taxis wait and busses!U finish check out and passport check very fast! the only bad is that the stuffs working in airport don't know good english
If u have aFlight in the morning get there early as the lines to check in are long though Turkish staff are excellent and efficient - passport control is always a serpentine queue and takes a while
One of the most awful airports in the world. Economy user, u'll see the majestic power of $ by waiting in line for hour(s. Applied to both departure&arrival: Hope u wont wait for 2 hrs at psprt cntrl!
This airport is bigger than ever and walking to your gate is listed on the boards, out gate was listed as 8-10 minutes. Good walk before a long flight. Lounge is good, especially THY lounge is great.
To everyone see my post here.. Hello :) , if u need free internet .. You have to came near the smoke side and open your wi-fi .. You will see network named"BTA_guest" here is password and username
In Terminal I ( international ), the best food court is the one the employees eat at. Before passport control, take elevators behind 'E' check-in counter to 2F. Pasta was good.
Hundreds of people queuing up for passport check. Officers are quick to process data. If you have an e-visa, head to counters 2 to 5. You will finish in less than a minute.
Don't use the taxis to go to Sabiha (SAW) they offered to pick me up for 350 TL and the bus only cost 27 TL !! Yes the bus takes time but I enjoyed it and when stopped a Taqsim went for a quick bite
Arrive earlier because u might be stuck at the security point at the entrance, then check in,then passport control and then security check again.Other than that not bad at all.Nice shops, best lounge
It was the last time to use this lovely Airport with many memories attached to it. But I am happy it has been replaced by a new one bcz it has been the most overcrowded airport I have ever been to.
Passport controllines are usually very long. You can use the fast line if you have a gold Star Alliance miles card. You're supposed to get a Fast Track Card from the Celebi Transfer Desk first.
Lounge entry prices are much cheaper than in the European Airports. Duty Free shops have great offers for good cigars. If you don't want to wait follow the 'Turkish Citizens' 4 the passport queues..
If you have a chance to visit Istanbul, see history with your own eyes, taste sish kebabs and fight pushy salesmen of Grand Bazaar, you must do as it is. Otherwise we will be waiting for your orders. Read more
