- Porter Airlines flies out from YTZ. Arrive early and relax at the lounge before your flight! The airport approach is very scenic, with the Toronto Islands and skyline in the background!Upvoted 2 days ago
- Reena B-SMay 24, 2015My favourite airport. Tiny but with a very nice lounge (Porter airlines). Service back and forth to mainland via ferryboat (and bus to Union Station).. The view as you fly in/land is amazing.Upvoted Feb 14
- deekayAugust 7, 2016The Porter lounge is amazing!! Free coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, water, pop, cookies and lots of seating!Upvoted 4 weeks ago
- Joe NixonJuly 24, 2016Very convenient for downtown Toronto. You get a great view of the islands and downtown as you land. It's quick to exit as it's so small, although we still had to wait a little while for our luggage.
- The runway is relatively short - don't be too alarmed if your pilot needs to circle back for a second try at landing!
- That view is the best way to arrive in Toronto and the lounge is great. Just be aware that with the smaller planes and smaller airport, weather has a stronger effect and there are frequent delays.
- Cozy airport. Have a seat in the lounge if it isn't packed with delayed passengers. Enjoy the little cafe they have with free water & coffee.WiFi is available, and AC Outlets are on the floor.
- Danielle KienerOctober 11, 2012It's been a long time since I've last enjoyed flying so much: easy access from downtown via ferry (tunnel soon), quick & friendly check-in, efficient security check, great lounge, free wifi & snacks!
- When you come out the tunnel walk along the water past the abandoned grain silos and pick up a city bike $7 for the day and 15 min ride to downtown
- Always convenient and efficient... but the free coffee and snacks are no more :(
- RexOctober 29, 2017Much better than Pearson in terms of access to the city. You used to have to take a ferry, but now there's a pedestrian tunnel. There is also a legit lounge for anyone flying Porter Airlines.
- Steven AndrophyJuly 3, 2012If only all other airports were like this. Very compact, brisk connections, and a comfortable waiting area with awesome cookies! Bring your laptop or just use one of the free macs!
- If you're coming to downtown Toronto on business flying via Porter to YTZ is the only way to go. Way closer to downtown... free WiFi, free snacks and drinks, and nice Apple desktops for all to use.
- Rachael AbramJune 7, 2013Fly Porter! Free snacks, coffee, tea, and wifi in the lounge; comfortable waiting areas; great (free!) food options on the flight! Always a pleasure!
- VJune 24, 2015Really like this airport. Everything is clean and there are a lot of places to kill your time while waiting. Cafes are delicious and stores are amazing.I recommend it.
- Early morning flights here are very pleasant. Be sure to use their baggies to place your liquids into before going through security to make things faster.
- Lucie KleckovaDecember 22, 2014The most beautiful airport I have ever seen. Small but very comfy. Water, coffee & cookies for free, fast WiFi... Everythink you need while waiting for your flight :)
- Kyo SongNovember 6, 2016Be sure to try their complimentary Shortbread chocolate chip cookies (Porter lounge). Bet you can't just have one ;)
- Laura M.July 20, 2017Bring food! There is complementary drinks and cookies but other than that, there is just a tiny snack shop with no breakfast options.
- Free is NICE! Come with an empty carry on bag and snag all the free cookies, nuts, drinks, coffee beans, cream, sugar! Then re-sell to cover the cost of your flight.
- Scottie MilagroJune 25, 2016One of the easiest and fastest airport experiences ever. The tunnel is so quick. Definitely take the elevators as the escalator is a bit slow.
- Marie La RueJanuary 27, 2019Close to downtown. Convenient. Efficient. Amazing city view is a nice bonus.
- Best airport ever. 5 min from entry to gate. Free lattes, free snacks, free sodas
- Support Porter's campaign to expand the island airport so that additional travel destinations can be accessible from downtown
- Quick and convenient. What js not to like plus can now walk to mainland and catch a tram
- Chris SimmonsSeptember 8, 2015One of my favorite airports of all time, so smooth and easy you'll feel like a rockstar. Wish more cities had airports like Billy Bishop.
- ElisaDecember 28, 2019Trust me and avoid flying on a long weekend, it will be a nightmare. Otherwise it's a lovely airport, taking the tunnel is quick and security is a breeze.
- If you have NEXUS make your way to the front of the security line w/your card & they will take you. There is often no one staffing the NEXUS line, so this is their fix.
- Christen DuongApril 10, 2012Porter Airlines lands you smack dab on the Toronto islands and gives you free wifi, snacks, ferry to mainland, and shuttle downtown. Canadians are nice!
- N MartinAugust 9, 2014Free Wifi and Free snacks Porter Airlines is the only way for me to Toronto now
- Chris BroachMay 19, 2013Porter is a great airline. Really enjoy the flight and the staff. Friendly, helpful, Canadian, free drinks. What more could you ask for?
- Ignore all the tips about the ferry. The pedestrian tunnel is finally open!
- Adam PeleshokJuly 10, 2015Smoothest security, free snacks, and free alcohol on the flight. Can't ask for much more
- Henry'sJanuary 21, 2013If you're just arriving we hope you remembered your camera! Toronto's a city with many sights! If you're leaving, we hope you're bringing a camera! You never know what photo opportunities you may see.
- Chris SteeleJuly 11, 2016The tunnel is nice enough, but ride the ferry across the channel if you have the time to spare before your flight. There's even a bar at dockside!
- DeannaAugust 9, 2014fly Porter from Newark for unprecedented service and land in this clean airport with an amazing view and short (2min?) ferry ride to the mainland.
- Check out the new boutique just out of baggage claim. They carry the Aesop line found otherwise only at Holt's or Oliver Spencer. Nice stuff.
- Peter ParkerAugust 15, 2014Complimentary coffee, snacks, and drinks at the departures lounge! Get here early because you need to take a ferry to the airport.
- Bogdan ZadorozhnyAugust 1, 2023Very cute and tiny airport, efficient and clean. The lounge is actually rather decent and at the very least, you’re not at Pearson.
- Fannie BAugust 31, 2011Enjoy a snack, delicious latte or beverage in the Porter Lounge. There's also a business lounge with tons of iMac computers, yours to use. Free wi-fi!
- Elisa A.August 15, 2014COMPLIMENTARY snacks, starbucks coffee, tea, salted almonds, cold drinks... Omg, this place!! Have I mentioned the free wifi? 😍
- Check-in and security are really fast, but waiting for the ferry when you're cutting it close is really stressful... get here early.
- Jon B.March 14, 2019A hop, skip and a jump from downtown Toronto. My go-to airport when in Toronto for business.
- Amol UtrankarJune 12, 2023The lounge is incredible (+ accepts Priority Pass!) but it’s only accessible for domestic flights 💩
- Mateus Botelho VieiraSeptember 4, 2014Free refreshments and beverages. Near downtown Toronto. Amazing and comfortable lobby. The best local airport that I have been.
- For those flying to the US, go to the counter as soon as you get down to the lounge if you Checked-In Online. It will save you from have to get up later for your Passport Verification.
- Marc MayerJuly 2, 2016Easiest flight check-in ever, and the most pleasant way to enter and leave Toronto.
- Lounge is great. Fast free WiFi & complimentary coffee, lattes, soda & almonds
- All of the coffee and juice along the wall of "Billy Bishop Café" is free. You're welcome.
