- Village VoiceAugust 4, 2014The bar-snack menu is admirable, including Serrano ham croquettes, homemade Malaysian jerky, and deviled eggs with Brit-style curry sauce. Try the fall salad with faro, and the glazed ribs are great. Read more
- Village VoiceAugust 4, 2014Spawned by the owners of Saul and Num Pang Sandwich Shop, the Vanderbilt is a restaurant for those who love rich food. In pursuit of that ideal, homemade charcuterie commands center stage. Read more
- The Corcoran GroupDecember 5, 2013While the brunch here is pretty solid, we like to come here for a cocktail & the Crispy Duck wings after seeing a concert at Barclays. From 11pm-12:30am Thursday to Saturday, it's happy hour!
- The bartender is very hands..nice, attentive and has an awesome personality. He's knowledgeable in mixology. I would buy out the bar if I could just because of him. The food..mmm mmm good
- CITY GRITAugust 9, 2014We love snacks – especially the ones served up at The Vanderbilt. Our personal favorites are the Beef Jerky, Strong Beans, Carrot Salami, & the Rabbit Mortadella! (Order all of the cocktails!)
- Bad news on brunch: Their one-of-a-kind shrimp n' grits are gone. The good news: the new Slinger is awesome: chili, hash browns, egg—like corned beef hash with chili replacing the corned beef. Delish.
- Everything's great here, but they really shine when it comes to bar snacks. Locally sourced charcuterie, veggie finger food and more. Great cocktails and a good beer list, too. Also brunch is amazing.
- Brahaani MamoDecember 1, 2013get the chili for brunch. It's what it sounds like&is good. Chicken hash sounds delic, bt ingredients don't coalesce into a cohesive dish. In the end it lacked flavor and the veggies were nearly raw.
- Melissa YuJuly 10, 2016$24 brunch prefixe with a good selection of cocktails + beignet + side + entree. Get the bangers n' mash.
- Tarah FeinbergSeptember 9, 2012Try the Smoked Trout Crepes, Melted Leeks, Trout Roe, Sunnyside Egg - Couldn't taste the trout enough, but it was delicious and not too heavy. Loved the dill.
- CompassAugust 12, 2013Duck through the mysterious-looking, white-tiled front door to find a gleaming stainless steel and tile interior, elevated southern snacks, and a sleek, speakeasy-worthy ambiance.
- Miguel de LeonOctober 10, 2014Cocktails and charcuterie. Don't overextend yourself with some of the larger menu items; also despite the wine list there's nothing all that serious to drink
- EchoDAJuly 24, 2012There's nothing better then a good selection of beers and some amazing small and medium plates for an incredible dinner. And don't forget to order the Cottage Fries!!!!
- Halstead PropertyOctober 23, 2012Show your ticket to an event at the Barclays Arena and receive 10% off. The brussels sprouts with shishito peppers are as good as the rumors say and will unexpectedly please anyone who tries it.
- Brunch here is out of control and a little easier on the wallet than dinner (which is also good). Getting the beignets to start means you can get both sweet AND savory in the same brunch.
- Azeem AhmadJuly 1, 2018The mushroom starters are amazing! For all those from the U.K. you don’t need a starter (Big main portions)!
- Benjamin PalmerMarch 26, 2012Shishito peppers for sure. Sausages are great, so are salads and fried pickles and the burger and any of the woodier cocktails. Hard to go wrong here
- DensJanuary 6, 2014Appetizers? The Shisito Peppers (make sure to dip them in the Pimentón powder) and and the Deviled Eggs. I thought the jerkey was just "eh".
- SaraJanuary 2, 2015The service here was excellent! I feel like finding good service is so tough these days. The host was so kind and the food was surprisingly good
- Exceptional dishes include the brussels sprouts (or cauliflower in spring/summer) and the meatballs. Among drinks, they make a superb Pimms and a great Ruby Sip.
- RamyaOctober 10, 2013Great drinks for brunch- Bellini's are a must. Try the skirt steak... but not the eggs Vanderbilt!
- AskMenFebruary 9, 2010The Vanderbilt's offer of refined food & drink at a price that won’t liquidate your savings is a welcome addition. Michelin-starred chef Saul Bolton & Ben Daitz collaborated on an A plus menu.
- Abigail GulloOctober 23, 2010The bartenders are saucy, sassy and Southern. This girl could not be more happy. Oh, it helps that that food and drinks are top notch as well. You can Spatzle me all day, boys.
- Sharon SkAugust 19, 2012Mrs meyers soap has port authority pink soap in its bottles. Sneaky. Vibe is nice for a Sunday, bloody Mary's are spicy, food could use seasoning.
- Lears FoolOctober 11, 2015I am a bacon fan, but the breakfast sausage had a nice spice/sweet balance
- Serious EatsNovember 4, 2013Michelin-starred chef Saul Bolton does a small plates-based bar and restaurant.
- Amazing brussel sprouts, escarole salad and brocolli rabe. Burger, pork meatballs, and pork belly!!
- Dan GeigerMarch 9, 2014The brussel sprouts are as great as everyone says, as are the cottage fries. Be prepared for slow service, though.
- Lala VaraAugust 1, 2017Bourbon drinks are good as is cheese platter. Very friendly and attentive staff.
- The fresh beignets make a nice dessert or if you're feeling extra snacky, grab an order to kick off your brunch.
- Vince MatthewsJune 29, 2014Excellent! Sat by the grill , chef gave us complimentary deserts and other treats.
- Christen DuongAugust 27, 2011A great place for a conversation. Order a few small plates (the brussel sprouts) and any of their awesome cocktails.
- BrooklynMuseumDecember 11, 2009Staff Pick! Katie (Registrar's Office): Very smart décor and friendly staff. Delicious cocktails and great selection of beer. Well priced food for a special night out in Prospect Heights.

- Get a beer, a few $1 duck wings and hunker down at the bar for Monday Night Football.
- Mikel CSeptember 17, 2014The veggie burger was amazing, good beer options too. And fast friendly service!
- Tarah FeinbergSeptember 9, 2012Try the Beignet - Almost as good as Cafe du Monde in NOLA. Light & not too sweet.
- Village VoiceDecember 28, 2010Try the Duck Pate with Confit Gizzard- they brought it to Choice Eats last year and everyone loved it!
- Gabe DoroszSeptember 1, 2011Have the brat. It's amazing. Trust me, I'm Polish and from Chicago - I basically have a Phd in Sausageology.
