If you don't speak Spanish/Catalan, plan to arrive an hour before your scheduled departure; lines at the information desks are VERY long, and the different arrival/departure boards can be confusing.Upvoted 2 weeks ago

In the Summer, a cool place to wait before you catch your train is the McDonald's which has good airconditioning. Especially around the McCafé stand.

From here you go anywhere in Spain. If your train is in the underground, just go 10 min before or you will boil.

Andrew CAugust 12, 2014The way this place is described you'd think you're going to get a net thrown over you when you walk outside. I'm sure there's pickpockets and shady people around but arriving midday we had no issues.
If you take metro green line, be ready to walk almost 1km with your luggage through stairs and corridors
I strongly recommend you to buy your train tickets at another station or before going to Sants. Gordon MeiJune 25, 2019When you hail a cab, make sure to do it from the multi lane queue area labeled “taxi”, not the dropoff area in front of the station.
If you arrive here with heavy luggage and need to take the metro avoid using the metro access INSIDE the station. Go outside and use the metro elevators in the corner of Numancia street.

Andy on IbizaNovember 2, 2012R2 at gate 9 or 10 brings you to the airport. But watch out to take the one. One that says Aeroport. The other ones don't pass by the airport!- Be prepared to walk...a lot. There's a lot of up-across-and-down when changing lines.
