- Shahmeer RafiqMay 30, 2015A beautiful place to relax. I come here often during my lunch breaks from work for a walk. It is usually very peaceful and calm. Sit on the grass and relax or read a book. Best park in Melbourne!
- Find this great pillar left by the late John Woods to signify his indignance that the Victorian parliament was built using New South Wales stone rather than the perfectly fine local Victorian stone.
- Be careful when touching the plants near the fountain - they have little spikes on them that hook into your fingers and hurt ):
- Just a lovely place to chill and relax. Played cricket here with my son, just brilliant

- Aram DulyanJuly 10, 2012For being one of Australia's only 3 man-made UNESCO World Heritage Sites, this place sure gets overlooked often.
- The original Parliament House! Melbourne was the original capital of Australia before $ydney's arrogance got in the way
- Nothing quite like these beautiful gardens on a sunny day! I hate them being fenced off for the Flower and Garden Show in March! 😞
- Always see possums after the sun goes gown. International and Interstate guests always seem to be fascinated by them.
- Stop checking-in and enjoy the park, of possible turn your iPhone off.
- Great gardens to relax in. Bring a picnic, take a walk, or go possum hunting (day or night). See how many you can find!
- Park ranger paranoia during business hours: dogs on leads and off yer bike.
- Serene LauNovember 22, 2009If you wait until the sun goes down, the possums will come out. Saw some eating KFC from a rubbish bin.
- Dog meetups take place each day at 5pm just inside the Canning St entrance.
