How to eat Tafelspitz. 1. Soup, 2. Bread with bone marrow, and 3. the meat with the rest. Meanwhile and after, enjoy this little moment of Vienna's atmosphere. Life is great, you deserve the best :-)

Plachutta is celebrated for its tafelspitz, the favored dish of Emperor Franz Josef. The boiled beef comes with a side of applesauce spiked with horseradish, which makes a sweet and spicy combination. Read more

I was recommended to try this restaurant since it's considered one of the best in serving traditional Viennese cuisine. The food was really good (especially the schnitzel, it was very tasty!)

Best Austrian restaurant in Vienna! Make sure that you try the schnitzel with the potato salad or the roast beef with the spinach and shredded potatoes sides. Mouthwatering!

A classic, elegant Austrian restaurant. You have to go for the Tafelspitz, a tender joint boiled beef, which comes with soup, potatoes and horseradish sauce. Pricey, but what a culinary experience!

Must visit in Vienna. Tafel spitz is a must and will feed two persons. Potatoes can be avoided.

locals say this is the place to have schnitzel. and suprrisingly it's veal. most places serve pork (if you mind). however kicking off with steak-tartare is a must. best i've had, so tender

Really tasty broth boiled from beef and all the fatty bits, noodles are a nice addition but not necessary. The bone marrow is interesting, the beef sauces are delicious. Try the foie gras Creme brûlée

That most amazing thing about this place that they are able to serve to big crowd (make sure you reserve a table) and yet you don’t feel it too much. Service is good, food is great.

After Sacher in the afternoon, you go here for dinner. Order Tafelspitz, ask for their 'How to eat Tafelspitz' (Or check picture). Don't care about prices, let the others complain, and simply enjoy.

Order instead of Tafelspitz the so called Schulterscherzerl - you will not regret it - and Semmelkren as side dish! For My Kasakh friends this is the Austrian Beshfarmak!

    Been here 5+ times
Definitely worth to visit (at least once). Great schnitzel and tafelspitz. But service became worse...so be aware of waiters, who will actively force you to order extra food that you don’t need...

The service is really slow -maybe it is only today- but the food is so awesome! We had tafelspitz, schnitzel and zwiebelrostbraten. All perfect but tafelspitz is a must here! Also the schnitzel!

If you are a total cheese buff (like me) order the dumplings for dessert! The wiener shnitzel is a no brainer. Careful with the house fruit vodka (I'm a big drinker) it's seriously strong!

Nice & quiet terrace at the city center. All tipical Vienese dishes available. I taste Asparagus as starter, they are amazing. Steak tartar and the small cacerolotes are awesome.

Known to be the place 2nd best in Schnitzel, was pretty good, slightly more oily than Figlmuller's. The potato salad was disappointing though. Opt for the outdoor seat in May, you'll love it.
