First department store in the world, it opened in 1852. It is a temple of luxury: the most trendy clothes, a museum-like food emporium La Grande Épicerie, luxury home furnishings & a huge wine cellar.

Chic and aristocratic shopping mall on the left bank. Usually far less people than at Lafayette or Printemps but great brands and service.

All brands are here, it is not as busy as Galleries Lafayette at all. The Italian restaurant is really good- Less crowded than the other two magazines, has a nice restaurant/café and Le Grande Epicerie Paris, a high quality delicatessen
