The service is homey, the menu is robust, and Instagramming your plate still feels gauche here. Do I have to wait 30-45 minutes for a table on the weekends? Yes. But I'll take that as a good sign. Read more

Excellent service. When our excited toddler accidentally knocked over a coffee, the servers immediately helped clean it up, and replaced the beverage—with adorable animal art in the foam of the drink

Great breakfast spot. It's a hidden gem nestled in the shadow of the Scientology building. Rotating seasonal dishes are great. Try the fresh squeezed juices.

Best French Toast I've had in my life, get it with all the fixins ie w/bourbon-pecan topping and vanilla whipped cream. Angelinos don't wake up early so if you get there before 10 wait won't be long

Start with stone-ground grits, then pancakes or French toast, available with hot or cold toppings which rotate seasonally. Baked egg dishes are hearty!

Annoying seating policy. Criminal coffee policy. Too many good alternatives to jump through hoops for a meal. Won't be back, but think maybe they were just having a bad day. Or maybe I was.
