Wait on the footbridge. When the barriers come down early, there's a great view of irate drivers forming a long queue for your entertainment.

Bring change if you're parking your car here: otherwise you have to use a painfully-bad automated phone service that takes 10 mins to set up.

This station is a pain for passing motorists as the level crossing causes alot of congestion during the morning/evening rush hour

Know your train times in advance: when I turned up, the ticket office was shut and none of the screens worked.
