- Hayo BartJune 10, 2017Staying at a Club rate? Have your breakfast at the Club Lounge at the 16th floor. Much better experience than the breakfast service in 'The Islander' restaurant in the lobby.
- Hayo BartJune 10, 2017Looking for the beach? Guests use the pool facilities at the sister property Golden Sands Resort in Batu Ferringhi. The hotel provides a free shuttle to this resort. Sign-up one day in advance!
- Piccy LokeAugust 10, 2017rooms are spacious and decorated in Peranakan accents. located next to 3 malls. famous street food within walking distance
- PW AainaaAugust 24, 2012Very nice hotel. Next to Prangin Mall and bus station. Go to the information counter and get the Rapid KL pocket map. So you can travel all over Penang Island by bus ! Cheap and easy :)
- Kerstin GarayDecember 22, 2014Traders Hotel which is a sister company of Shangri-la now change to Hotel Jen. Easy access for places like shopping as shopping malls is around the hotel.
- @TravelAwanDecember 7, 2011A five star hotel in Penang managed by Shangri-La. Traders Hotel is also linked to two local shopping malls. Prangin Mall, KOMTAR, the major bus terminal is just 5 minutes walk. Perfect!
- Jason ZhengJanuary 21, 2015Worse customer service at the fitness centre! Especially the two female staffs(the fat malay and the thin Indian). Hanging around chit chatting all the time and NO ONE TAKING CARE AT THE COUNTER!
- MattDecember 31, 2015Price is ok but location is a bit far from the good places in the centre. Rooms are a bit old. Tip: hotel opposite (St Giles) has better bar on 30th floor and very good Japanese restaurant.
- Very nice and excellent service... would liked ri come back again... thumbs up
- Alyssa NgSeptember 23, 2015Food is good. Limited parking. Don't forget to let your ticket stamped before exiting the hotel if you are there for a function.
- Comfortable and located at the center of Georgetown next to Komtar and 1st Avenue.
- Fazli HashimApril 3, 2011The traders club room is nice but still used tv emmm expect will used such as lcd or plasma and the receptionist at club traders so friendly.. tumbs up
- Chia Chieh CheongDecember 14, 2013Further more 5pm ask them clean the room and 230am still never clean , I hope this message can alert the management of shangri la group , pls rectify this ASAP and give customers a good experience
- TingSeptember 22, 2016Old and dated. In urgent need of an upgrade. Apart from the central location, can't think of anything positive. Many other nice boutique accommodations in Georgetown with more character.
- GunturAwanJuly 31, 2010A five star hotel in Penang managed by Shangri-La. Traders Hotel is also linked to two local shopping malls. Prangin Mall, KOMTAR, the major bus terminal is just 5 minutes walk. Perfect!
- HklingFebruary 19, 2017While the renovation is going on, think they also need to re-train their staff on cleanliness and customer service. Definitely not even 4* star service. Location is great and within walking distance
- HueiPhing S 🌹January 12, 2015Formally known as traders hotel. Good location if you wanted to take public transportation. Room cleanliness I will rate it 7 out of 10.
- Joachim OoiJanuary 25, 2015Attended a wedding dinner here. For hotel standard, the food here is good and acceptable. -Penang Kia Food Critique-
- Darren LamAugust 3, 2015Check out noodles station for breakfast. Hor fun (kuay teow) noodles soup is good!

- Tara SwartApril 20, 2012The pillows really are wafer thin. There's also a massive construction site - a hotel going up right next to Traders. Don't get a room near the lifts either - you can hear them all night.
- bigbro JaredDecember 25, 2015Comfy hotel if not for the lack of parking spaces during peak hours in which you're sent on a parking hunt elsewhere!!
- Near to Prangin and 1st Avenue. Should try the macadamia ice cream at Gelatomio (1st Avenue)
- Comfortable rooms on the Executive floors with efficient and honest service staff and guest amenities. Recommended!!
- Fir€L¥nxApril 30, 2013Pleasant hotel.. But the rooms are not sound-proof... Can hear the noisy neighbour's TV even at 2am!
- Lim HorngAugust 30, 2017The buffet dinner is horrible, RM88 per pax. Please check it out before you go.
- Hian HongSeptember 23, 2016Maybe pre renovation. This hotel is a far cry from its hey day. The interiors look worn and tired, but not unlike the neighbourhood. Don't overpay for the rooms!
- Nice service, good service & the best room basic ever. Free shoe polishing
- Neal JansenNovember 19, 2011PBIM Runners; Taxi to the race site is gonna cost you RM45+ Jelutong Expressway is gonna be blocked off too.
- Ab SamadJuly 23, 2014I'm Malay. And i just want something that is non-Malay with every bite cuz quite frankly the food was nothing but ordinary to me.
