- L MAugust 7, 2017Best 卤肉饭 in my life! The food in the basement is more authentic and there is more choice as you delve deeper into the market. The 豪大大 was huge! I recommend sharing that with at least 3 peopleUpvoted 1 week ago
- KatrinaNovember 6, 2014Very big night market. Most shops are open until around midnight on weekdays. Some food stalls start to close up around 12:30am. Good deals close to end of night for shopping. Tons of sports shops.Upvoted Feb 29
- Xuan Trang UongMarch 9, 2015similar with Chatuchak market in Thailand but open only at night. try the frog egg, coffin sandwich, fried milk, and some other exotic foods :)))
- Rosland JannesAugust 6, 2017Enjoyed this night market by playing the shoot em ballons, balloons, darts, ball throws and pachinkos, fresh fruits are delicious but. a bit pricey, lots of. Trinkets and good quality attires.
- Great tasting food at affordable prices. This place is a must repeat visit for any foodie. Highlights include giant chicken schnitzels, grilled wagyu beef cubes and pancakes.
- Casey LauJuly 25, 2014Go on a super empty stomach. You will want to eat everything. It's like one giant streetlong buffet; you can't go wrong on any of it. My tip: only buy 1 to share so you have more room for other stuff.
- Frankie J. 😎 GreyJuly 4, 2017Very famous night market with more than 500 food stalls, shops stands where you can find some nice cheap souvenirs! the market starts around 16.00 and gets very crowded around 20-23.00
- 9VSKANovember 9, 2016This is the one everyone talks about, and rightly so for the vast amounts (and variations) of food/drinks/retail lining the streets and laneways. Big crowds; more focused on quantity, not quality.
- Kuo-yu LiangMay 28, 2017My favorite night market in Taipei, for the sheer scale of choices. Anything you can imagine eating they have it here. If you d don't like crowds don't go here, actually, don't go to Taiwan.
- Kong PhamJanuary 6, 2018Shopping, games, and lots of food. Grab a beer at one of the liquor stores and walk around trying all the various foods. Don’t eat too much at the beginning because there are a lot of things to try.
- Jzin TOctober 1, 2016Bubble tea haven, shopping haven, lotsa food haven! There's lotsa beauty shops and 24h massage places here. Good place to set base camp actually
- Laura G.July 29, 2015Fun and festive place to experience Taiwanese food and snacks, and pick up some good bargains. Highly recommend the shaved ice stall, in the back corner of the basement food court. Super delicious!
- Tim DengMay 30, 2019One of the best night markets I’ve been to! Stuff your face with street food and make sure to buy tropical fruits from the stands

- Angeline TeohDecember 5, 2018Very huge night market. You'll see a variety of food and clothing. For cheaper priced clothing, go to the alleyways, they normally sell the clothing cheaper
- JoyceJuly 30, 2016One of the the most popular night markets in Taipei. Place for shopping and food. Try the big piece of chicken and pearl tea/juice.
- Jason LeeOctober 10, 2012It's a lot to take in at once. Just be sure to remember to use the WC before you enter, make note of landmarks to help you find your place, buy things you love on the spot and eat as much as possible
- John AFebruary 25, 2018The biggest night market in Taipei, but also the least interesting in terms of local foods, people, and vendors. Prices about 30-40% higher than more local night markets.
- Kalle RDecember 29, 2017Amazing street food and tons of it. Probably good for other shopping too, but the food alone makes it worth the visit.
- Connie ChiuDecember 1, 2014The inside section that's usually considered the main attraction is just too overwhelming. I liked the outdoors section better. Also the clothes shops are pretty worth checking out.
- Beatrice LiuJanuary 12, 2014one of the BEST night markets in taipei. new favourites- prince cheese and fried milk. pics@ http://www.eatprayflying.com/taiwan-taipei-shi-lin-night-market-%E5%A3%AB%E6%9E%97%E5%A4%9C%E5%B8%82/
- Rica BAugust 30, 2014Before we got here taxi driver told us the fruit here are quite expensive so we just had pearl tea and fried chicken! Really tasty!
- Mostly tourists as the locals no longer come here. Make a visit and then go see the other night markets.
- Jonathan LimMarch 5, 2017Don't buy from the fruits stall near the entrance, they are infamous for scamming! 😡
- Brandon LeeJanuary 4, 2020It’s super crowded and the Hotstar chicken is practically impossible to get (long lines). Just get it from one of their other branches! Also, this is just me, but stinky tofu is a real buzzkill.
- There's only one public toilet there and it's in the market. Surprisingly clean... Bring your own toilet paper though! Taiwan's full of surprise, I love Taiwan!
- great place to buy all you want... the only downside is the horrible smell of the stinky tofu... but apart from that is a nice place
- AlfonsoJuly 5, 2018Taipei’s busiest night market. Foodies mustn’t miss out on stinky tofu, pepper pork buns, Ay-Chung noodles, the original Hot-Star fried chicken, and of course, bubble tea.
- chingsinJanuary 4, 2017Endless options of street food and a few old school arcade games to try, shopping wise it's not as interesting with the generic products you can find elsewhere
- Epicurean 🗼dventuresJanuary 15, 2019Bustling night mkt teeming w/ activities.Family spent 1of d most memorable eve here feasting,shopping,& ppl watching.If u hate crowd or tourists,u won't hv a good time...so...avoid!

- UlyaSeptember 30, 2015I love these markets. There is always something to discover. If you are vegetarian or even vegan though be warned you ll only find animals and no plants.
- Chris LeeJune 11, 2016'Squid ball' a must to try in taiwan. Must not leave taiwan if u have not tasted this..
- Gary HorFebruary 16, 2015Besides the outdoor food carts, check out the food stalls at the basement level of the main Shilin Night Market building. Try a bit of everything.
- David Bryan RamosOctober 30, 2016Hands down the best Night Market in Taipei. Good food. Good selection of stalls.
- Frank KottlerAugust 7, 2015You can find all kinds of food. The cheese potato blew my mind, and the pig blood rice cake was definitely worth giving it a try.
- Karen Krishia CabarleAugust 16, 2017SO MUCH PEOPLE and SO MUCH STORES TO VISIT! Definitely a one stop shopping district.
- Tien TienJune 21, 2014Large and commercialized night market with rows of shop selling clothing, bags, shoes, handphone accessories. And rows of stall selling food and beverages
- Gayle LopezApril 12, 2017Best place for shopping and eating late-night. It's not just a street market. It's an entire neighborhood full of shops and food stalls.
- Simon OpsomerMay 9, 2023Popular night market but perhaps a victim of its own success. Very crowded! And in terms of food, other night markets in the city easily beat this one.
- A CJanuary 10, 2014The largest of the four nite markets I've been to and my favourite. Also, it's the easiest to find; right next to the subway station
- Elizabeth LeeSeptember 22, 2015There is the outdoor and indoor market. Outdoor is more interesting but cramped. Fried chicken, fried oysters, hot dogs, crepes, and more.

- Holly HitchcockDecember 2, 2018Try the gigantic battered and double-fried chicken breast. It's delicious and as big as a small dinner plate!
- SammyOctober 15, 2012There are a lot of food stalls in the basement but make sure to save dome room for shaved ice. There is also a free shuttle from Jiantian station to the Miramar
- AfilJanuary 15, 2020Iconic night market of Taiwan. Flooded with both tourists and locals. Don’t know what to buy accept sportswear and cheap facial masks.
- Christine HaMay 2, 2017Huge so can spend hours here. Try street food: chicken cutlet, fried stinky tofu, big sausage little sausage 🍡
- Felipe Chan WongMarch 12, 2013There's a food market in here, there's lots of things to try and taste! Besides, clothes here are not bad! Take MRT (red line) and get down at Jian Tan station, from there just follow the signs :D
