- Ian RathboneAugust 29, 2014Nice airport! Useful tip, the departures for gates 20+ are tiny so don't rush up there through passport control before going to the quieter cafe downstairs!!
- Paul NeadesJune 20, 2017Water and Drinks are cheaper from the vending machines than at the bar or shop.Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Artemios VoyiatzisOctober 24, 2014One of the few airports at walking distance from the city center (~30', 2.4 km.). Red line goes to the train station and through the city; express bus directly to the train station (more expensive).
- One of the few airports at walkable distance from city center. If you travel light, you don't need a taxi or bus to go to city. Avoid the overpriced "fast train". Shops in security have Tuscan foods.
- M. ScottJune 1, 2018One of worst airports I've ever been to. Long check in, long security, no space to wait for flights. Just have to stand like cattle. Plan on arriving at least 3 hours before just to be safe.
- At the exit to the train station, on the right hand wall, there's a power plug if you are running low on battery for mobile devices.
- Paul NeadesJune 20, 2017To find the tram (PisaMover) to Pisa Central head to the far end of the airport and not the Train/Bus ticket desk. Go to the end and take a lift up. Buy your ticket here. €10.80 Open Return.
- Named "Galileo Galilei"...coffee is good and automatic dispenser for food and beverages are quite cheap! Parking: first 30 minutes for free and the following hours 2€ each one :)
- Leo DW8RNovember 24, 2014Small airport, very close to the city center. Named after a very famous scientist.
- Monica CiobanuMarch 3, 2015They have an office where you can leave your luggage (cost 7euro/bag,open from 9 to 20). It is not yet 8pm and all the duty free shops are closed. (the ones after security check and passport control).
- The usual mess but I have to say the steak house upstairs is really good
- Vassily MotanovJuly 25, 2013A very nice vine bar with very tasty sandwiches at depature zone before gates 1-6.
- Elena2020September 1, 2014Do not take the Terravision which connects Pisa airport with Florence downtown. Third world service (I wonder how they can be on the road with such rotten buses). Any other option is better!
- JvdH - Not On Swarm AnymoreMarch 4, 2014Departures side : go through security check as soon as you get there : 1) queue can be very long and 2) shops and food are better on the other side
- Power plugs on the poles near the gates. Good cappucino.
- Dave Fitch2 weeks ago€6.50 per person for the shuttle to the train station. If there are 3 or 4 of you take a taxi…
- Emanuele PapiFebruary 18, 2012Don't take terravision, take train from Pisa centrale, it is very convenient and with a good frequency of trips departing?
- simonApril 18, 2014So close to the city a taxi to the leaning tower is only €10, and €6 to the rail station when the trains aren't working
- Don`t use the train ticket office inside the airport, they make you pay more than the standard fare,in particular if you are a foreign.use the automatic ticket machine in front of the train instead ;)
- Jesmond DarmaninSeptember 15, 2013Very small and boring airport. The area next to the gates was super crowded when I was there for an 11am flight and there was no seating space.
- Dmitry NovikovSeptember 19, 2013It's 500 m from rentacar parking to terminal - very close. Tickets in terminal for bus or train 1-2 euro more expensive than outside.
- Luigi Santos-HammarlundApril 28, 2013There are not many shops after baggage control. If you need to buy last minute gifts, do it before checking in.
- Pisa, the airport of love - where female security guards inspect men and vice versa. If you are a man wear jeans if you fear inconvenient while they touch your sensible parts...
- Hotel Relais Delle PicchiaieJanuary 9, 2012don't forget to visit Elba Island, since you're now very close: a little paradise just one hour off the Tuscan coast
- Andrea MaccagnaniFebruary 17, 2012Very nicea, efficient and clean...one of the best airport in Italy
- Podere il PinoMarch 6, 2012It is named after Galileo Galilei, the famous scientist and native of Pisa. The airport was first developed for the military in the 1930 and 1940s. The airport had 4.526.723 passengers in 2011.
- Hanna AvlasJuly 6, 2022Fast shuttle from Pisa Centrale to airport for 5 €. 🚇 Small and a bit untidy. 🛫 Fast security check.
- Buy your water bottles at the vending machines near gate 11, they are cheaper than the one at gate 21
- Don't buy bus tickets at the office inside the terminal (they cost 1€ more). Try the automatic machine outside near the bus stop, but only if you have change
- gabriel provenzanoMay 7, 2019Very busy airport, no room for so many people, it needs to be refurbished and increase capacity immediately
- Vasek S.July 14, 2019Very small airport. Usually hard to find a place where to sit and where to charge a phone
- Dmitry NovikovSeptember 19, 2013Luggage service is absolutely annoying. Goto office, ask for service, goto security control with your luggage, scan it, goto back office, put it on shelf by yourself, pay 7 euro per bag! Only till 8pm
- Very tiny airport and the worst thing is that there is no fast track at security! Now there is 500 people in line !!!!
- Power sockets are available near the vending machines at gate 11 and near the trashcan at gate 24
- Serj LotutoviciNovember 20, 2015Don't check-in to early! The airport is too small. No smoking area as in other airports. And a lot of passengers are standing while waiting for their flight.
- Really small airport with no serious shopping area after security check. Better spend the extra time on some coffee shop outside until last hour. Relatively clean.
- SerScuMarch 7, 2012We consider it as the international Florence airport, bigger then the real Florence airport, more flights, well connected to Florence
- Edward PhillipsMay 28, 2013Walk to the hire car desks rather than waiting for the bus. It is only 500m and much quicker
- Borislav NeshichJune 18, 2013If you have a non-Schengen flight (Gates 21-24) be aware that after passport control there is only one cafe that does not accept credit cards! Wending machines do not either!
- NilsAugust 30, 2019This airport is simply catastrophic. Italian-style working attitude combined with a terminal that fits merely 20-30% of the passengers. Try to avoid flying home from Pisa.
