Classic cafe. One of the few places open for early Sunday morning breakfast. Take the Tomaselli breakfast. And watch old Salzburgerians reading newspapers. Or just read one yourself..

A beautiful place with an amazing terrace. Perfect place for breakfast! As simple as it gets, the top quality eggs with ham and cheese were a fantastic start of the day!

One of the most strategic spots for a wonderful view of the surrounding areas. You might be lucky to get to see one of the horse carriages passing by.

It's a Salzburg must: classic coffee house with wonderful cakes. Sit outside during festival season and see well dressed people mix with tourists.

These tourist highlights are often disappointing. NOT Tomaselli, though. Perfect spot for people watching, great coffee and a crazy good selection of fresh cakes and desserts.

The best place in Salzburg for the traditional coffee house experience. Make sure you bring cash as cards aren't accepted! Specialty coffee + cake a little less than €10

The apple strudel (Apfelstrudel) is outstanding even by Austrian standards: It was just slightly sweetened so you could taste the natural flavour of the awesome tasting apples.

Good place for a short visit. Good café with cream and apple tart as a desert but it run out very early. Warm and very center location.

best time to go there is in the afternoon since it is so crowded, nice cakes but dont arrive so late so you can try all cakes :)

One of the very few and good Viennese Cafes in Salzburg. Try the Einspänner. Can be overcrowded.

The cakes are yummy. However, the coffee tastes like water and they charge you EUR 4 for it. The cake ladies are grumpy as well.

Bring your own water if you're thirsty as they wouldn't allow more than one dcl per person and prices are sky high. Nice place though.

The Apfelstrudel and ice cream was delicious, but the grumpy cake waitress and angry waiter was not worth it.. And also expensive.

Very touristy, almost a trap. Food is hit or miss, the cakes are at best forgettable. Do yourself a favor and don’t make this your first choice, or second, for that matter.
