Ashley KemperAugust 24, 2017Definitely buy your tickets online to avoid waiting in a huge line. (Pro tip: you can buy on your phone when you get there.) The Book of Kells has a cool history, but the Long Room is amazing!

David ShepherdApril 11, 2018The Book of Kells is very cool, but note that you WILL NOT take pictures in that section. The Long Room is stunning. It looks like it is straight from a movie set. Do not miss it.
John NoeSeptember 4, 2017We took a student tour and very much enjoyed it. The library itself was incredible and very much worth the price of admission (which was 13 of the 14 euros we paid for the tour!)

Angela ZhouApril 20, 2018The library is medical and the exhibition on illuminated manuscripts is very interesting. The book itself is difficult to see unless you are lucky and get to see the illuminated page. Worth a visit!
NigelApril 9, 2023The library is currently undergoing restoration and most of the books have been removed from the shelves. Wait until it’s finished if you can. Still charging full ticket price though!
