- Ashley KemperAugust 24, 2017Definitely buy your tickets online to avoid waiting in a huge line. (Pro tip: you can buy on your phone when you get there.) The Book of Kells has a cool history, but the Long Room is amazing!Upvoted 22 hours ago
- David ShepherdApril 11, 2018The Book of Kells is very cool, but note that you WILL NOT take pictures in that section. The Long Room is stunning. It looks like it is straight from a movie set. Do not miss it.
- John NoeSeptember 4, 2017We took a student tour and very much enjoyed it. The library itself was incredible and very much worth the price of admission (which was 13 of the 14 euros we paid for the tour!)
- Kendal CockrelAugust 14, 2018Beautiful and interesting exhibit but it's literally packed with people. Buy your ticket online in advance and show up right on time so that you don't have to wait.
- LauraMay 17, 2019The long room is amazing, and made up for the high cost. We went in the afternoon and it was very, very crowded. Take note - buy tickets ahead of time (even from right outside) to skip the line
- Dan Mondragón SomeraOctober 5, 2022The library area is really amazing to look at. Sadly there are lots of people and it can be a bit difficult to enjoy
- BC 😎🎶November 10, 2021Architecture, book and history enthusiasts dream. You get to see the Book of Kells before you enter. A def must see when in Dublin.

- KT FloridaApril 23, 2016Beautiful campus buildings! Come early if you want to see the Book of Kells because the lines can get long later in the day.
- Matteo PenzoDecember 10, 2022Exhib is subpar. By the library is magnificent and worth the ticket price. Buy it in advance online.
- BaltimoreGalApril 11, 2018Not ashamed to admit I teared up in the long room. The tall shelves of old tomes, the busts of historical characters, the displays about the books... it is the most beautiful library I’ve ever seen.
- Angela ZhouApril 20, 2018The library is medical and the exhibition on illuminated manuscripts is very interesting. The book itself is difficult to see unless you are lucky and get to see the illuminated page. Worth a visit!
- NigelApril 9, 2023The library is currently undergoing restoration and most of the books have been removed from the shelves. Wait until it’s finished if you can. Still charging full ticket price though!
- Jalen BFebruary 24, 2018Exhibition is very small. I expected a bit more. But the videos are nice. The highlight is the long hall upstairs. Very nice in the afternoon with sunlight
- BerndAugust 31, 2015You should book a guided student tour at the entrance to the college. 13 € (09/2015) including book of kells and it's worth it. 👍
- PoetryNovember 28, 2015I love this please, full of historical things and well reserved. I will miss this place after several visits to this library during my Master course.
- Phil KenchMay 3, 201630 min tour of the campus is €13, only €2 more than the Library/Book of Kels ticket which is included, so great value. Buy just inside front gate of Trinity and you can use credit card
- AdriánAugust 24, 2014Beautiful. But you should take the college walking tour to make your money's worth. The tour is €12 and includes entrance to the library and book of Kells.
- Trish MJune 8, 2023They're removing all the books for restoration, which I get, but now it's just a long room with lots of empty shelves. It's really lost all the beauty and magic.
- Andre SiregarMay 9, 2016Absolutely stunning view of the long hall. Experience in May 2016 for Book of Kells: always long queue to get in. Highly recommended to buy tickets online
- Ms HeleneJuly 13, 2019Smells like leather and knowledge plus see 4 pages from the Book and an exhibition on it for €11 in advance purchase or long line and €14 day of.
- Guilherme LuchesiJuly 11, 2019It’s a nice place but it’s not worth the ticket price. There are looooads of places as good as this for free in Dublin.
- Sofia GalegoOctober 15, 2015Much much more than the home of book of Kells. An amazing library that you absolutely must see!

- Daniel KengenMarch 17, 2017The library was beautiful, and the exhibition was very interresting. But I missed seeing the actual book in real life....or did I do something wrong?
- TempleBar TradfestMarch 7, 2011Largest library in Ireland. Its collection of manuscripts & printed boks date back to the end of the 16th century. It contains the 4 gospels of the bible written in Latin. Adult 9€ / Students 8€
- L KNovember 7, 2014Quiet experience. A small library museum, the architecture of the old library is arguably more interesting than the manuscript itself.
- Kenhan TurbayJuly 2, 2014It's a must see attraction. Half prices tickets from 4.30 PM. You can easily see the whole thing in 20 minutes.
- DSquirrelyMarch 2, 2014The library is more impressive than the book. It was a 10 minute exhibit for 10 euros but any bibliophile will leave ecstatic.
- Christina BentchMay 9, 2017Check out the book of Kells at trinity library. It's a quick little tour worthy of an afternoon
- JelmerAugust 23, 2016There is a bit of a queue so not too many people are inside at the same time, but the long room is worth the wait.
- Kartik SMay 20, 2016Book online for quick entry. The exhibition is amazing so don't spend time queuing and rush in!
- Katerina VorelOctober 26, 2019Last entrance is at 16:30. What suprise me: gift shop is closing at 17 no matter how many people want trow their money for library souvenirs. They just kick all out, to be sure close&lock at 17:00.
- KatherineDecember 6, 2023Most of the books are gone for restoration but still a great architectural space
- Barbora JedinaMarch 17, 2015although long queue, the waiting time is short, the exhibition was not very interesting for me (and didn't notice the book of kells at all) but the library...THE LIBRARY!!! oh wow....
- B.J. EllisJune 26, 2013Wow. This place is amazing. No pictures can really capture it. Sometimes the line out front can be quiet long.

- Florian IsachsenJune 17, 2016A most beautiful library like you normally only see in movies. Bursting with tourists.
- Gözde CivanOctober 1, 2015This is one of the place that should be seen before die. I felt in harry Potter movie when i was at the threshold of the big hall. Exhibition is facinating 👏👏💞
