- Karan TamhaneJuly 12, 2018This is a very nice farm! They had a lot of friendly animals, a store with fresh produce, and homemade icecream! They also had pick your own blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and vegetables.
- Maggie CallahanSeptember 9, 2016I have left multiple suggestions with Foursquare to edit the address and hours listing. Alstede Farms' address is 1 Alstede Farms Lane, Chester, NJ 07930. The farm is open every day from 9am to 8pm.
- Cat NooneOctober 24, 2016Beautiful farm. Huge variety to pick from: veggies, apples, pumpkins, etc. After you're finished, grab a bite. Perfect food for a crisp fall day. Best fries I've ever eaten and wild mac & cheese!
- BonJuly 18, 2020Very much a countrytime jamboree & petting zoo. u pick is less about the fruit and more about the experience. Prices are high if you just want fruit @ $16/person incl 1 pint of berries. cute place tho
- ZenFoodsterMay 14, 2018Alstede Farms Strawberry Harvest Festival’s (1 Alstede Farms Ln) ea Sat & Sun 6/2–6/24/18 11am-5pm 9-7pm: homemade strawberry treats, hay, pony & tractor rides. Just watch out for tons of ppl & kids!
- Nancy RichJuly 29, 2015A fun place to buy delicious, fresh produce, homey baked goods and fabulous ice cream. Terrific for families because of events, pick your own and a farm animal petting zoo.
- James KiernanOctober 4, 2017Perfect place to bring the family on a Fall weekend. Pony rides, apple and pumpkin picking, bouncy house and plenty of food. Fresh cider donuts FTW!
- Eric GruJune 23, 2017They jacked the prices here in 2017 to an insane degree. On a Friday morning, $26 admission (with tax) for a family of four. Then $7 per pound of raspberries and blueberries on top of that.
- Ashley Ann McDowellOctober 16, 2017Great place for the family! Get the blueberry wine, I promise you that you don't be disappointed.
- AnthonyOctober 20, 2016Fantastic apple picking experience though be warned: it's like an amusement park given how crowded it gets!
- Erin MurphyOctober 13, 2014Pumpkin picking is really fun. I also enjoyed the wine tasting. Don't forget to stop by the store on your way out to get some delicious cider doughnuts and a pumpkin pie.
- Todd A WilliamsAugust 11, 2015Great place to take kids with the sunflower maze and live animals. Really enjoyed our visit.
- Rosslyn KhunovichJuly 14, 2018Great place to go picking with the kids. Strawberries, blueberries, sour cherries, raspberries, peaches all in one day!!
- John SwordsMarch 31, 2018Eat lunch before you go unless you only eat things from a deep frier or microwave. Eat the ice cream or pie in the store.
- Winnie COctober 24, 2010For a city girl, I would say this was worth the hour ride. Awesome corn maze even though I wished I knew something about boy scouts, hay ride was interesting and awesome apple cider and cider donuts.
- Dylan GadinoOctober 24, 2010Worth the hour or so trip. Apple cider donuts are stellar. Try the fried pickles. Animals and hay/tractor rides for the kids. Also, good place for birthday parties.
- Dana G.August 18, 2013Amazing color from the veggieles and fruit. A fun healthy quick family stop.I can't wait for the pumpkin picking.
- Carmen NOctober 28, 2014It's like a farm theme park, likely because it is one of the closest to NYC. They do nickel and dime you.
- Louie SobongAugust 4, 2013I really like this farm. Nicely laid out and lots of stuff for the kids to do.
- Jenifer ZaccardoSeptember 22, 2012This place is great! Fruit and veggie picking. Hayrides. Corn maze. Animal petting bouncy house horse rides Just skip the food. It's gross.
- David TeicherJune 27, 2011Awesome for Berry/Fruit Picking. Beware the raspberries though - lots of tiny little bugs inside. The Strawberries were pristine and perfect though Read more
- Tim LeeSeptember 20, 2016A bit pricier than other farms and no "all you can eat" while picking. But this means far less crowded and better selection of fruits and veggies.
- Tanya MenendezOctober 5, 2013I've been here 3 times and the other times I came in November and it was wayyy better. This time there were long lines and it seemed like nothing was worth it
- Arjun RamOctober 23, 2016Good farm. Lousy attitude of managers that work here. If you are looking for a friendly farm go some place else. If you wanna be part of a herd come here.
- Christopher PayneOctober 14, 2012Restrooms - 3 urinals 1 stall for men, only 3 stalls for women. Long restroom lines for women, plan accordingly! This place can get busy!
- Join their AMAZING Highlands Harvest Club 2012 for 29 weeks of fresh produce and Family Fun passes for all the kids in your family. We <3 Alstede!
- Alex KnightJuly 13, 2013They GOUGE you for pick-your-own, charging 60% more for blueberries than they do in the store. Most places charge less for PYO.
- Jonathan L.September 21, 2020$30pp on the weekend, then $40 for a box to pick apples is utterly ridiculously & expensive.
- Unless you don't mind spending the whole day (there is enough to do) come early!!! This place gets packed and everything becomes a 45 minute to an hour wait.
- Alexandra CuntalaOctober 23, 2013Had a great day here today. Picked some apples, raspberries, and pumpkins. Great place for families
- Michele MooneyJune 7, 2014$15 for a day pass and all you get is pony rides (2 laps) and bounce house? Rip off. Bought a bad of carrots to feed the animals - too bad they were moldy. Yuck.
- DenisOctober 6, 2013Expensive as hell. Really unfriendly. Completely outrageous policies. Will force you to buy even worm infested corn. Crowded and money hungry to the nth degree. Stay away!
