    This is a truly excellent history museum--so much so that I actually got kicked out at the end of the day when they were trying to close but I wasn't done yet! The moral of the story is to go early :)

    Great place to learn about Singapore's history, especially the guided tour by an passionate volunteer guide. A lot of coverage on life during and post WW2. Food here is limited & overpriced though.

    If u prefer a quiet viewing of the art, avoid the guided tour at 11 am given in loud Singlish. Beware of school excursions / tours too. Probably safer to visit in afternoon.

    A must see if you are here in Singapore. However do check online if there are any special events going on as sometimes the museum might close some of the exhibitions.

    Very well laid out and interesting museum. Lots of information to read and modern layout that keeps you engaged. Housed in an old beautiful building.

    Space for rent. The museum has 12 rooms available for an event or workshop. For >200 guests, consider the Gallery Theatre, Foyer, or Glass Atrium – depending on your activity

    We haven't finished walking through historic exhibits, hope to return soon while young kiddos are still absorbing infor like sponge and before they grow to next stage of finding it boh-liao.

    If you're planning to go to more than 1 museum, consider getting a 3 day pass for about $20 which will give you access to all 5 city museums.

    Closest MRT station - Dhoby Ghout or Bras Basah, coffee joint - TCC, Cofee Bean & Starbucks, fast food - Subway, Wendy's & Kopitiam. There's free wireless internet inside the museum at Novus Cafe.
