Dara FisherJune 16, 2015This is a truly excellent history museum--so much so that I actually got kicked out at the end of the day when they were trying to close but I wasn't done yet! The moral of the story is to go early :)
Alexander YapJanuary 7, 2019Great place to learn about Singapore's history, especially the guided tour by an passionate volunteer guide. A lot of coverage on life during and post WW2. Food here is limited & overpriced though.

Mk PhSeptember 19, 2013If u prefer a quiet viewing of the art, avoid the guided tour at 11 am given in loud Singlish. Beware of school excursions / tours too. Probably safer to visit in afternoon.

- Space for rent. The museum has 12 rooms available for an event or workshop. For >200 guests, consider the Gallery Theatre, Foyer, or Glass Atrium – depending on your activity

Download the museum app. Very useful so you can snap heaps of pictures and go home and refer to the descriptions at your own time.

Free for Singaporeans and PR - 50 made in Singapore Exhibition.
- Get free water from the water cooler on level 2 near the washrooms.
Don't bring bulky stuff and mono/tri-pod or wear caps when visiting the museum.
It's open house on 9 aug. Enjoy free activities. And also free entry to the galleries. Dun missed out on the other nhb museum coz they r free too.....!
