Great snorkeling for all ages. Calm and protected shallow entry alongside rocks with deep water access right off of the point. Great swimming area for kids. Read more

2nd time snorkeling here (once in 2007, and now Sept. 2014). Both times saw quite a few fish and turtles. Today we saw two turtles and a stingray! Paid parking at garage, bathrooms at Sheraton pool.

BEWARE: If you are cliff diving beware of BLOOD on the rocks. A lot of people cut their feet on the sharp rocks climbing up to the jump points. Water shoes recommended.

It’s simply beautiful and they dive here throwing themselves from the rock. The snorkeling here is to another level.

It can get crowded here in peak tourist season. Watch for cliff divers (1 almost landed on my head once!) We suggest a boat trip to escape crowds. Aikane X5 only takes 12 passengers max. Read more

You'll see a ton of sea creatures (fish, sea urchin, turtles!!!) the closer you are to the rocks/reefs. Great place to snorkel!

Worth a snorkel if you’re in the area, but not so good it’s worth trek all the way in through the resorts when you could go up to slaughterhouse beach.

It’s a slow beach break, so it stays shallow a ways out; but it means that the waves break with some intensity by the time they get to shore. Watch your littles closely on the beach.

Not much coral or fish ☹️. Beach was great. For snorkel go down one beach north to kahiliki/airport beach which is great.

At sunset an awesome Hawaiian dude parcores across the rocks and lights 5 tiki torches with a cinematic soundtrack. Cool if you're a kid or big kid

Come early to do some good snorkeling, beach fills up and the people jumping off the rock become too numerous to enjoy it

If you feel strong, best fish viewing is in deeper water (30 ft) around the point. Watch the currents, enjoy but please don't touch the Honu. Mahalo.

Snorkeling is awesome and better than in Ulea. Just go beyond the rock on the left to avoid the crowd.

2 giant turtles live about 50 ft out from the shore in Black Rock. Snorkel to see them. They come out pretty often.
