Try their non vegThali in their restaurant, Raintree... don't miss their desserts, elaneer payasam and rose halwa... awesome... not crowded and good ambience... worth checking out this place...
The oldest hotel in the city with oodles of history. Stay here if that appeals to you, great colonial feel, old style rooms and a caring staff that make it your home!
The rooms on the left side of the reception are far better than the ones on the right. To a single traveller the biggest plus is that one can order half portions of various dishes in the room
This is one of my favourite hotels in the world. It's a real privilege to stay here. The level of service, friendliness, and respectfulness is wonderful!
An old is gold kind of feeling..building. Very authentic in design and since its Taj everything else about it is like any five star, has all that a five star must. The Hip-Asia restaurant is my favour
The service at the coffee shop always leaves a lot to be desired. But the rooms are fantastic. Very colonial, regal and elegant. Graceful overdose of wood all around.
Super slow wifi. The staff is polite and nice but the servers in the restaurant are incompetent. I had 3 meals there and could never get a drink refilled without asking 2-3X.
Vivanta by Taj - Connemara, Chennai is the city's only heritage hotel, built in 1854 as the Imperial Hotel, renamed Albany in 1886, and finally re-established as The Connemara in 1890. Today it is infused with the spirited style of Vivanta by Taj. A fresh new vibe that complements tradition.
