- Jeremy COctober 22, 2015Classic cocktails done right. I had an excellent Rye old fashioned. If u prefer beer, you can order from beer bar next door and bring your glass back to Bar X. Be prepared for a ton of hipsters.
- Ginny-Beth JoinerSeptember 2, 2012New owners. New feel. New crowd. I loved the old, dirty, cash-only Bar X, but this place is great, too. Metro feel and Moscow Mules are refreshing. Service is slow, but worth it.
- Wow, can't fault the recommendations for the Moscow Mule - it's the ginger beer that really does it. Mmm. And the copper mug makes the chill all the more tactile.
- Now Salt LakeApril 25, 2012Try the Edison. Endorsed by actor (Phil on Modern Family) and Bar X co-owner Ty Burrell; the Edison is a Bourbon-based drink served in a shot glass coated with absinthe. Read more
- Lauren DelonJuly 6, 2015This is the best place in Salt Lake City to get an Old Fashioned. However, you have to stand in line for about twenty minutes to get one.
- Jacob Anderson CooperOctober 31, 2014Amazing bar!!! BUT this is a speak easy... why is the music bumping from a block away, why does the sign look like I'm walking into a cheap strip club and why is there outdoor seating out front?
- Brett LerwillJanuary 8, 2014This bar is very small and has no wait service, but they have an interesting cocktail menu. You can also get some rare spirits here like Pappy Van Winkle.
- Now Salt LakeNovember 22, 2011Moscow Mule: Vodka, fresh lime juice and handmade ginger beer make for a refreshing after-work bump. And nothing says "classic cocktail" like booze served in a shiny copper cup by a skilled bartender. Read more
- Now Salt LakeAugust 16, 2011Try the Blood and Sand.Sweet and incredibly strong, served in a dainty little stemmed glass. It's definitely a sipper, slow down and enjoy. Read more
- David HardieAugust 22, 2013Nice place but with only two bartenders and no additional staff, we waited 15 minutes on a weeknight without getting acknowledged. For fancy drinks ad fancy prices, you gotta have some service.
- Moscow Mule FTW! You have to try one of these drinks at least once--that is unless you hate ginger.
- Tricia WarnkenSeptember 2, 2012Try the Greyhound, replace vodka with Gin, no simple syrup! Delishes. Also fabulous the Bar X brew!!
- The Moscow Mule is a perfect summer drink! Ice cold, crisp and very refreshing. Worth the wait and cost!
- WilliamJanuary 10, 2011Newly remodeled bar is now a classy custom cocktail lounge. Great place to take a date after a movie. Open 4PM-1AM Daily. No food.
- Zachary BurtMarch 20, 2011They make the best Tom Collins in town. It's amazing how many bars can screw up this simple drink.
- Seasonal bespoke drinks menu and Monday vinyl night. Start your week off here.
- Get the Moscow mule, nowhere else in Salt Lake does it this good
- Robin-Elise CallMarch 1, 2012Don't order your drink and walk away... part of the pleasure is watching the artistry behind the cocktails.
- Seconded on the Moscow Mule. If you order the Sazerac, use Rip's recipe--about 1/2 the amount of sugar.
- Jeremy MFebruary 26, 2012Don't wanna spend $9 on a crazy awesome cocktail? Olympia beer in the can for $3.
- Watch out for the novice bartenders that charge every drink for $10.00.
- Third vote for the Moscow Mule. Fan of the Boston Sour also. Decent house red.
- Marco RobertJune 1, 2013This is a good hang out for business professionals. But the service is super slow.
- Brett JeppsonApril 25, 2014Please do not go in this bar! Worst service ever and the blond girl who thinks she runes the place is a bitch
