Amazing spot for some scenic views. Especially pretty during autumn, where you’ll get lots of fall colors. Great photography spots all throughout the park.
Take a hike! Up to the dog run at Fort Tryon Park that is. Socialize with other dog owners under the gazebo. Dogs can be separated by size in this 2 park run, complete with views of the Hudson River.
A quiet relaxing break from hustle, bustle, and noise of the city. Purposefully get lost on the myriad trails or wander through the flowergardens. Absolutely must visit the peacefulcloisters!
Get ready for some hills and beautiful walking paths. This is one of my favorite spots in NYC with great views of the Hudson and northeastern side of Manhattan.
Lots of walking required. If you plan on meeting ppl or a group here, meet outside first & then work your way in together b/c it’s almost impossible to find each other once you’re already inside.
The park was built by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., son of the architect of Central Park, in 1935, and gifted to the city of New York by John D. Rockefeller.
Yeah, it's way out of the way. But it's worth the trek.. Get lost in the gardens. Sit and watch the river flow. Peak into The Cloisters while you're there.
The best place to forget that you’re in NYC is crammed with gardens, forests and other quiet nooks that are perfect for chilling out. No visit here is complete without a stop by the Cloisters. Read more
Relaxing park with water views that is an easy walk from the 190 St stop on the A line. Significant landscaping, stone work, old trees. The Cloisters can be found here too.
This is a stunning park, and we have Bette Midler to thank for it! I think it is the best park in New York City, in my opinion. I feel lucky to live do close by...Such a treasure!
If you need a break from the city, you don’t need to go far. Visit this immaculate park with a date and a bottle of wine (hush hush)…its romantic and inspiring.
A verdant yet hidden gem set high in Manhattan’s crown. Don’t miss the Cloisters, the Metropolitan Museum’s medieval branch, and the spectacular views from Linden Terrace and the Heather Garden.
It feels like you're not in NYC anymore at this park with its sweeping vistas of the Hudson River and the cliffs of NJ. And if you're in NY during The Fall Medieval Festival you have to go! Read more
