Can YucelSeptember 23, 2014If you arrive early in the morning and need to spend some time, just get the seats before you head to exit doors, and use AIRPORT_FREE_WIFI. Much better than staying outside and doing nothing.
AnilJuly 6, 2016Such a small airport with really nothing¬hing. You can't enter the airport before your flight. For Arrivals:Taxi to Ferryport costs 30$.Negotiate whatever u do here. For Zanzibar, i suggest Flying.- Serhiy ⚓ ChebotaryovJuly 27, 2015Small airport with nothing to do. Has some exchange services and ATM. Taxi to the city centre could be negotiated down to 30–35k Ts. During the day such trip can take up to 50–80min (chaotic traffic)

You proceed thru narrow corridor straight from arrivals to departures
- Rafael SSeptember 18, 2018Small.not enough place to sit.queues. Make sure you arrive well in advance for departure. Poorly organized. When you arrive. First queue for immigration officer to scan passport and fingerprints.
If you are travelling to RSA remember your yellow fever vaccination card. Get that sorted 10 days before travelling. Enjoy your trip :)- Be friendly, but don't over do it. Show documents/cash receipts, not necessarily originals, and use influence if you've got any. Save time and money by being smart and not by acting. Karibu Tanzania!

Ara NasheraJanuary 6, 2013Ca$h is king here, very few spots accept visa cards even just outside the airport, as am leaving the Dar today, the only two ATM machines outside the departure terminal are all not working.
Jeroen WJune 16, 2013If you need a visa, you can arrange one at the airport although they let you wait for a minimum of a hour because of bad logistics...
Don't do what's advised here and pretend about not needing a business visa. It's not uncommon for airport to tip off local offices, the fine is heavy and the experience very unpleasant

Then they take your passport for 10 mins for visa procedures. Then you pass immigration. And collect your luggage.
