The Taiwanese version of JR’s Shinkansen in Japan. Emulates the experience very well at all levels (great ride, friendly service, fast!) Travel btwn Taipei, Taichung & Kaohsiung (~100 min end-to-end).

For tourists, you can purchase HSR tickets on their iOS app, "T-Express" and scan your ticket barcode (totally paperless) at the station!

Buy a bento box and some snacks to eat on the train. You can buy reserved seats which is double the price of non-reserved. Super fast. Taipei to Taichung in 45 minutes on the express.

If you're late u can always take the next train at cars 10-12 where the non-reserved seats are.

2nd floor on top of station has food court and many interesting restaurants！Some of the ramen places are good！And you can buy snack gifts on main floor if u wished to do so！

Entry into the waiting area can only be made one hour before your scheduled departure from the station. There is limited sitting area on the platform level.

If you get to gate early and want to sit while waiting, stay on the level above the platform- (otherwise if you have any, you must carry your luggage back up the stairs)...

Go somewhere else. Taipei station is the shittiest station I've ever been in -- bad or misleading signs, poorly designed, a layout like a migraine. Awful.

台湾新幹線の台北駅。乗車券はクレジットカードで購入可。台鉄とMRT、桃園機場捷運は乗換えです。Main Station of High Speed Railway at Taipei. You can buy ticket by credit card at country and vending Machine. You can transfer to TRA and MRT.

初めての台湾でも案内頼りに迷わず行けて助かりました。案内表示が大きくて分かりやすい。券売機等も、大体意味も分かるし観光客にも優しいと思う。今回はネット予約したチケットをB3の券売機で発券しました。MRT淡水線からはB3乗り換えエリアが便利です。

新幹線始発駅。発車時刻まで時間がある場合はホームには入らず、待合スペースで待ちます。朝早いときなど、新光三越裏の蒸し焼き小籠包のお店で小籠包と豆乳等を買い込んでから乗車するのもおすすめ。メニューはオール13元。

台北市の玄関口。台鉄台北駅に隣接する地下駅です。台鉄縦貫線、台北捷運淡水信義線の台北駅に接続。土日夕方～夜はかなり混雑します。
