Beautiful summer houses, nice shops and many "balneari" by the beach. A few streets are lined with orange trees, like the Via Leonardo da Vinci. The town is a great place to be in Tuscany.

Best beaches are "wild" beaches with the view to the pine forest. Nice sands. Great to be there in mud September - not crowded but still warm and nice

Beach resort in Tuscany, popular with Italians. Almost all the beaches are private, make sure you book your spot (it’s not expensive). Try the seafood boats for a cheap dinner.

Great location as base for Italy. Excellent beach, train station includes fast routes to Florence, Rome, genoa and Milan and local access to Pisa and lucca

This is a very gay friendly travel destination, but don't expect a thriving night life. It is very relaxing.
