City of Sausalito

A remarkable quaint city with lots to do and see. Ride a bike by the bay, shop, eat at any number of fantastic restaurants or grab coffee and enjoy the other side of the bay.

When you arrive of a tour book the ferry first check the time you want then go and enjoy the place. The houses are up on the hills so you need to use stairs to get up amongst the lovely architecture

The jewel of the bay area. An artists heaven. Come and stay for a month or so to get the full experience. Rent a houseboat on Airbnb.

Very nice little tourist town! :) The weather is warmer than in SF. Some nice, but expensive restaurants. Avoid the gas station - VERY expensive! Do not miss Lappert's Ice Cream place - delicious! :)

Sausalito reminded me of a small village in Italy. Gorgeous architecture surrounded by red woods and it's right on the water... Talk about paradise!

Beautiful views of the city, but extremely crowded... Dined at Alejandro's and found the hostess lovely, but the locals crowd in the bar and back of restaurant were rude and entitled..

Not a tourist town. Interesting place to live with at least 6 different neighborhoods, unlimited walking in the hills and along the waterfront, and probably 30 places to get great coffee, like Philz.

Simply the coziest town I've ever encountered in my life. The houses here are lined up so systematically, and the whole island very much feels like home. One of the best places to retire.

Sausalito is a gorgeous city. A fun place to explore. Great views. Interesting people. I make it a point to stop by whenever I'm in the area.

Sausalito is a very beautiful town. It looks like a Mediterranean place. If you visit San Francisco, I would strongly recommend to see Sausalito.

This little city is just marvelous. Great shopping and restaurants. Reminds me of the Mediterranean coast.

Definitely worth the boat ride from Fishermans Wharf if you've never been. So many cool little shops and restaurants!

It is a really beautiful small town. When I was there, there were too many tourists. But still you can have a relax nice day.

Spend an afternoon around this shore side city, sunsets are awesome from the park view.

Piccolo Restaurant is no longer in business. For less expensive restaurants, go to Caledonia Street. That's walking distance. The locals eat at Fish, at Gate Five, by Molly Stone's grocery store.

Bike over the Golden Gate Bridge, straight into Sausalito. Enjoy the incredible views and make sure you visit the unique art and design shops!

Make sure to walk down to Caledonia street where the local restaurants are. A lot of cool places to see, but you need to take a closer look

Get an hamburger from the little shop on the main street, other sise of the ferry pier.

Touristic but nice. Has a great view of the bay, sea lions included.

Try Lappert's Ice Cream! One of the best places to get ice cream ever!

On a clear day the views can't be beat

If I could live here I would. Sadly I have a tourist visa only. Will be back...this place stole my heart entirely.

This looked like a quaint little town, too bad the Ferry going back to San Fran is such a nightmare..we would have liked to actually spend some time here.
