One big sprawling station for underground, overground, dlr and mainline. So many Connections, if you can find them. Also listed as Stratford Underground and DLR station.

The high speed Javelin trains to St Pancras and Kent, are located at Stratford International Station. Either one stop north on the DLR or a few minutes walk through Westfield shopping centre

There are in effect two separate sets of DLR platforms at different ends of the station. If you don't realise that, it's 50/50 whether you'll end up on the right platform!!

Often oddly quiet post the Olympics. Somewhat confusing layout and interchanges sometimes involve long walks up and down staircases.

If the main ticket machines are busy, bear in mind there's a lone machine across the concourse by the Jubilee Line platforms that tends to be free, even at rush hour.

Platform 10A is not easy to get to from the Jubilee Line tunnel. Go up and over the DLR towards the main entrance then head for Westfield.

Overground announcers were uninformative. However the trains are normally efficient and the station is well laid out.

It's a 20 minute (brisk) walk to Three Mills Studios from here. Quicker than the bus and much better for you.

It's easier to find Platform 9 3/4 than get from the high speed international station to the tube, especially late at night. Too many old parts cobbled together makes it awful to navigate.

So 't stand at the front of the platform as the front of the train doesn't always stop there and you may miss the train! Like I did :-(

You need to press and hold the button to travel in the lift to the DLR platform.

The toilets just behind the barriers as you enter from the bus station have now been closed due to vandalism. Use toilets in Westfield (free) or Stratford Centre (chargeable).

If you are planning to get a westbound Central Line tube beyond Liverpool Street, change at Stratford. Tubes often on adjoining platform.

Use a conveniently timed Westbound Central Line train to save using the subway. Both sets of doors open.
