JeanJune 17, 2017Astoria is awesome! Pretty much everything you could need is in walking distance. The big downside is that now that people know how great the neighborhood is, the place has gotten so darn expensive!Upvoted 2 days ago- Astoria is NOT the "new Manhattan", it has always been a great place to live at. Us locals would actually prefer people who call Astoria the "new Manhattan" to move Uptown and leave our rent alone!Upvoted Apr 4

Local unpretentious bars, good food, and the Sculpture Park. What more do you want?
- Low rise and lovely - wide avenues, great restaurants - convenient to most parts of the city. Astoria is the best!
Great NYC Hub community 10 min from Manhattan. Fine restaurants, beer gardens, bars, clubs, diverse culture, movie studios, airport. Known for its authentic Greek Culture, Astoria won't dissapoint.
Born and raised here and it's still the place to be...even though a lot of transplants have turned it into a 'trendy' area, it still holds its old roots- Plenty of authentic Greek food & Middle Eastern food in the neighborhood. Plenty of hookah bars along Steinway. Plenty of bars scattered throughout the neighborhood too. Go to Astoria Park for views!
Really has a home feeling to it, simply the best area :)
Pizza palace is a great place to chill with friends or yu could walk down by the train station and play some hoops by the park
Best hood in NYC but shhh don't tell everybody or the rents will go up and it will become pretentious.
Don't come Here they will raise the rent and I love here too much for that so stay in Brooklyn
