- RossJune 6, 2019Originally known as St. Petersburg Beach, in 1994, locals voted to officially change the name to St. Pete Beach, to distinguish it from the City of St. Petersburg a few miles to the east.Upvoted 1 week ago
- Ian HoughtonJanuary 26, 2016Absolutely love St Pete beach. Best beach in the area loaded with bars and fun. White powder sand and bath warm waters. Keep your eyes out for Dolphins, manatees and remember the stingray shuffle!Upvoted 20 hours ago

- Christine HameleSeptember 3, 2013Great place to catch the sunset and make the undertow bar a "must see". Great people watching, volleyball and drinks!
- Beautiful Beaches very clean not overly crowded and great restaurants and bars near by.
- The name of the city is St. Pete Beach, not St. Petersburg Beach or St. Pete's Beach. http://www.tampabaybeaches.com/cwt/external/wcpages/beaches/st-pete-beach.aspx
- We are St. Pete Beach, NOT St. Pete's! Best shelling is usually after a storm. Don't forget to do "the stingray shuffle," especially during the summer months!
- J BarrangerJune 7, 2014Rent the cabanas at the Alden Suites. Cheaper, more spacious & the attendant is super friendly.
- Visit St. Pete / ClearwaterJune 7, 2013Charter a boat! You can book anywhere from 4 to 13-hour blocks depending on your fishing enthusiasm. Snap some shots of the boat and check in using #WhereSummerRocks.
- Janneke BoekhorstOctober 26, 2014Go in the early morning (7.30) for a run or walk and see some dolphins
- Amy KneelandAugust 29, 2012Never too crowded. Park as close as you can to the showers. Worth it after the swim.
- Watch out for the jellyfish and remember to do the sting ray shuffle...sun screen is a must.....look for dolphins!!! I had seen some the first day I arrived!
- Kostas StoilasSeptember 2, 2012Stay up late and walk down the beach to see all the people enjoying the beach bars then come back and enjoy live music at Postcard Inn and Jimmy B's
- Proud to now call this place home instead of driving thru on the way to work.
- Do the stingray shuffle so you won't hurt any Rays! (it will help you out too, trust!)
- Steve LovellJune 16, 2011Check out the sand dollars (out about chest deep), and hermit crabs, and sting rays, and fish galore...
- It's a decent beach. No crowds- so you really can't beat it!
- You will burn!!! Even in late November. Living it here! Can't wait to come back :)
- Stephanie DawsonAugust 8, 201250 sunscreen applied twice in four hours still wasn't enough for the little ones. U need a sun shirt and sun hat.
- Sept and Oct are beautiful! Summer crowds are gone. Weekends on the beach are glorious. Water temp still around 75!
