Originally known as St. Petersburg Beach, in 1994, locals voted to officially change the name to St. Pete Beach, to distinguish it from the City of St. Petersburg a few miles to the east.

Absolutely love St Pete beach. Best beach in the area loaded with bars and fun. White powder sand and bath warm waters. Keep your eyes out for Dolphins, manatees and remember the stingray shuffle!

Awesome beach!!! I like it better than Clearwater beach- smaller, less crowded, the bars are cool and just overall cooler

Great place to catch the sunset and make the undertow bar a "must see". Great people watching, volleyball and drinks!

The name of the city is St. Pete Beach, not St. Petersburg Beach or St. Pete's Beach. http://www.tampabaybeaches.com/cwt/external/wcpages/beaches/st-pete-beach.aspx

We are St. Pete Beach, NOT St. Pete's! Best shelling is usually after a storm. Don't forget to do "the stingray shuffle," especially during the summer months!
