Mark BJanuary 15, 2012Also ladies, use the rest room well before check in. B room has long line & questionable cleanliness. Get to airport 2-3 hrs early to be safe. Upstairs has sun drenched "viewing lounge".
Erin PettigrewJune 17, 2013Food at PLS: Before security is Gilley's, a sit down spot with local and fast food that takes longer. After security is a bar/fast food stop with pizza, grilled cheese, drinks that is speedier.
David PoonMarch 4, 2012Go upstairs to the Sky Lounge. It's not as packed and the drink prices are very reasonable. $3 for the glass bottled grapefruit soda on ice.
There's a playroom-ish area on the second level where the kids can kill some time.

Departure is rustic, packed & VIP lounge is farcical when VIPs are packed face to face talking on iPhones.

Not as good as what you get on the island proper, but decent for airport food. Drinks are at least three dollars apiece once you go through security.

SNOCRUDecember 31, 2012VIP Sky Lounge is where it's at. You DO NOT need to be a VIP, just walk on up and enjoy some fresh air after that ridiculously slow security check.
